Nashoba could be so much better than it is. The food is average and the place also needs to be tidier.

Cons: , ambience

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

This place was delightful and friendly. During our one week trip we went 4 times. Sandwiches were huge, half will feed you. The breads were SOOO good - olive bread on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Salads were different and reasonable - blue cheese and broccoli flavored just right. Vinagrette with just the right tang. And bakery items that were just delicious, the little fruit tarts are worth twice the $1.50 price. If you go to Boston and miss this tiny little place, it's your loss. I miss it.

Pros: inexpensive, fresh, plentiful

Cons: parking

Love toast? Good, strong, coffee? If so, check out Nashoba Brook next time you are low on funds and looking for a great breakfast or snack. Their Harvest toast (50 cents/slice) is wonderful - dried fruit, nuts, spices, all baked into a hearty slice of bread - Yum! They have a handy coffee club card - but 10, get the 11th free - and a great location - 1/2block from the Back Bay T stop. Pastries and sandwhiches are great, too - the only thing that needs a touch o' improvement is the service, although at times it can be pretty good. Needless to say, i love this bakery!

Editor's Review

French pastries tempt calorie-counters at this inviting neighborhood spot, but it's the killer sandwiches that pack in the crowds.  See the full editorial review.
