Australian tchotchkes and brews give this quintessentially American restaurant a distinctive Down Under flavor.

In Short
Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.

Although the wait to be seated at the Outback can be rediculously long, I think it's well worth it. I love the spices they use in their food and they have the best Steaks, Martinis and their Bloomin' Onion is amazing! If you haven't tried it yet, what are you waiting for?
Wait & wait & wait...for what?

The wait can be very long, as there are no reservations and for what? The food is average at best, high in fat and very spicy. Why the popularity?
- Pros: large portions, friendly service
- Cons: wait usually too long, food not worth wait
inconsistent cuts

After eating at Outback a few times, I thought I had a jewel of a restaurant to eat at. I had the 10oz tenderloin the first cople of times which was amazingly tender. 3rd visit I ordered the salmon(yummy). The last time however, I ordered the 10oz and got a rough @ tough cut of meat you would find at the Hilltop. I was very dissapointed. The garlic mashed were and the cheesy fries were good. The portions were generous. I'd like to give this place great marks, but I can't.
- Pros: generous portions, great staff, creamy onion soup
- Cons: inconsistent quality, opens late weekdays
