Very pleasant experience
by Arod74 at Citysearch
Just a quick note on my experience with Dedham Automall and my 2006 Mini Cooper. I purchased the vehicle over the internet and phone with Ryan. I had the Cooper delivered to California in a timely fashion and the vehicle arrived in the same condition that was stated to me over the phone.
It's awesome and looks brand new. No problems with the CA smog testing. Everything went extremely smoothly. It was a pleasure working with a professional salesman (Ryan). Thank you very much and I look forward to doing business the next time I need a vehicle.
- Pros: Vehicle Quality and Quick Turnaround on Shipping
- Cons: None I can think of.
Great Dealership and staff
by rich d at Citysearch
Live in RI but found the drive to Dedham to be well worth it. Ryan (sales) was great to deal with and very knowledgable. Purchased a Lexus with low mileage at a great price and the car has been a pleasure to drive. Post sales Ryan has been very responsive to any questions and/or follow up. A great dealership that I have recommended to family and friends.
- Pros: excellent sales people great low mileage autos
- Cons: None
Dedham Auto Mall - Sept 2009
by Etemad at Citysearch
Dedham Auto Mall – I just purchased a 2006 Mercedes E350-4matic with 22,186 miles from them (mint condition). I live in CT about 150 miles away. I called and told them about my interest. I drove on Sat and completed the deal quickly. I’ve driven the car and took it to Mercedes dealer for Service. No problem.
All the people in particular, Ryan (Sales), Ben (extended warranty) and Jahan (Manager) performed very professional. They are all very knowledgeable, educated and extremly helpful. They tried very hard to take care of all the paper work and some of my requirements so I can get back on the road quickly.
I was personally very impressed. Good selection of cars with very competitive prices. I understand, they have been around for quite a while. I strongly recommend checking their website or visiting them. I did both and very happy.
- Pros: Competitive price, Lot of Choices, Extensive facility
Liars, scammers and cheats; RUN away
by andymo99 at Citysearch
Total scammers, liars and cheats.
Went in to get a quote to sell them our car. Their website promises a quote within an hour, and that it would be good for 3 days. The salesman wouldn't give a quote beyond "two to three thousand dollars" because the "check writer" wasn't there. Mind you, we called earlier in the day to confirm that they could give us a quote when we got there. He said the check writer could be there in five minutes, but only if we were prepared to accept an offer on the spot. So much for the website promises of a quote within an hour and good for 3 days. He told us they "need to update that."
The whole thing was treated so unprofessionally. It was a "hard sell" mentality from the moment we walked in. Leaving that place, I feel like I need a shower just having been in the dealership. It is not a big deal if you want to sell a car, but I wouldn't trust them for a second to buy a used car there.
This is just the sort of place that gives used car dealers such a bad reputation.
- Pros: Nothing
- Cons: They are dishonest and rude; do not trust them
Great place if your looking for a deal on luxury cars
by JohnSully at Citysearch
I found this dealer back in February through Carsdotcom and was surprised at how low some of their cars were priced. I inquired about a few through the phone then carfax Traveled there the next Saturday and test drove a BMW 530xi and a Mercedes E500. Settled on the e500 mainly because of the interior options. I liked the way the BMW drove but the interior wasn't as comfortable, and seeing that my profession is in sales and I spend about 8 hours a day in my vehicle traveling through Boston and mass I went with the more comfortable interior of the E500. The car was in perfect condition besides a few scrapes on one wheel, but I asked my salesman Marat if they could fix that and they did. The finance manager Ben was also able to secure a competitive rate from Wachovia on my financing. Overall it was a great experience and I've since recommended them to some of my associates and family.
- Pros: prices on their cars
- Cons: flexibility of price

Great car at an affordable price.
by Jmcdonough64 at Citysearch
I purchased a 2006 Acura TL from Dedham Automall about five months ago. No problems so far. Fortunately it had a very detailed carfax report that showed it's service records from an Acura dealership. It it still under factory bumper-to-bumper and powertrain so I have continued with the recommended service dates.
There are some diamonds to be found here if you just do your homework. A used car is a used car no matter where you buy it. But if your looking for late-model luxury at an affordable price like i was then this is a good place to go.
As for the customer service I would rate it as a B+. I was treated very well by the salesman Jason, and the finance guy worked hard to get me the rate I was looking for on my financing. My fica score is well over 750 so I wasn't taking anything but the best rate and they were able to supply me with that. I had a plan, knew what I wanted, and I got it. The only complaint I had wasn't really there fault. One of the workers at the RMV
transcribed the VIN wrong on my registration and we didn't realize it till I tried to get my Acura inspected. I called Dedham and let them know and they took care of it for me and I picked up the corrected registration the next day, and I even got a free oil change for my inconvenience.
- Pros: Great vehicles. Friendly salesmen.
- Cons: Not many if you do your homework.
Sold me a lemon, refused to fix problems
by scolazz at Citysearch
Got a good price on a used car. They were supposed to fix the 'check engine light' before delivery. The light was out when I got the car, but came on the next day. Turns out, they just reset the light, and did not fix the problem. 3 (THREE) trips back to their 'mechanics', and they finally just shipped the car to Midas to have them fix it.
Less than a month later, the CEL came back on for a related issue - Dedham Auto Mall refused to take my calls, or answer my emails at this point. 9 months later, the car has many many problems. They sold me a real piece of junk.
- Pros: Good price, fairly easy negotiations
- Cons: there is a reason for the price - the car is a piece of junk.
Fair and Straight-forward. I give it a B+.

I bought an 06 BMW 3-series from Dedham Automall 2 months ago. I usually take online reviews with a grain of salt, so some of the nastier ones I found didn't phase me. I have to say in all I got a fair deal. Though it was a little unorganized in there and I thought the doc fee was high, they were very upfront about pricing and the carfax report. From what I understand, the place was run by string of shady managers for the past couple years, but the owners fired them all last fall and are now running the place themselves. It was a bit refreshing to talk directly with one of the owners (I think his name was Johan or something) when it came down to hammering out the final place. All in all, I'd go back.
- Pros: Straight-forward; good prices
- Cons: A little unorganized.
Beware of false negative reviews
by Edward50 at Citysearch
Note, this is not a review but an effort to point out that someone is giving low marks on bogus claims. The story below about a severely damaged car with a clean car fax is almost exactly the same bogus story posted on another dealer's rankings (Autobahn in Brighton MA). The reviewer has no other postings and is likely a fake. I don't have anything positive or negative to say about Dedham Auto Mall but be aware that someone, likely a competitor, is posting false reviews.
