I felt more relaxed, yet energized, after class

by laura331 at Citysearch

I took a trial class here and was very satisfied. The instructor was energetic and caring and offered time to give an individual assessment of my current body condition. I didn't have time, made an appointment to go back for that, but I'm interested to see how I feel after the next class.

  • Pros: fun, relaxing, helped me sleep better

Great experience

by internity at Citysearch

I am a member in Oregon Dahn Center, and I"m amazed that the quality of instruction, and care of the atmosphere and energy is consistant throughout, Boston to Portland. I've been taking classes over 3 years now, and I"m a Lifetime member. Honestly you cannot find this kind of quality healing and care at any studio. They will meet with you anytime, and talk heart to heart, and really give sincere effort to make each person feel warm and joyful.

I'm very satisfied with my experiences here, and I'm also excited to see how much more involved Dahn Yoga is becoming in outreach and community service. Bravo!!!

Kahmsahamnida!!!!

  • Pros: Great Class, wonderful joyful instructors, fun
  • Cons: I would love to have more class times avaliable, perhaps a noon class.

Know what you're getting into

by openminded2007 at Citysearch

I found Dahn Yoga online and on the surface it seems like a great place but after doing a little more research on Dahn Yoga, going to the classes and looking into Dahn Yoga's founders it appears that the founder has no medical training and the classes are different from any other yoga I've taken. I'm not sure if the classes are beneficial.

The people at the center are very nice and the classes are good but I think members maybe getting more then they bargained for: hugging before each class, tea after class, and there are several very expensive works shops they offer. Dahn Yoga has been called a cult and I'm a little wary. Just go in with your eyes open.

  • Pros: Interesting classes
  • Cons: Cult like, $100 a month

Changed my life

by elunat at Citysearch

Over 6 years ago, I was physically sick all the time and was looking for a place to teach me to relax and meditate. I found Dahn Yoga and learned how to meditate and relax but I gained much more than this. Through their system, I learned how my habits effect how I feel, how healthy my body is, and how joyful my life is. At first, I wasn't ready to face these facts about myself. I left the center many times to pursue other healing modalities but always found myself back to Dahn Yoga. Eventually, I learned how to take care of myself and let go of everything that wasn't serving me. I was even able to heal my asthma! I am so thankful that Dahn Yoga was there to help me.

  • Pros: Unlimited classes, Customized training, Regular personal check-ups, Warm Ambience

the most complete system of yoga i have found!

by twobirds at Citysearch

i have studied many types of yoga and i have found nothing as comprehensive, effective, and fulling as Dahn Yoga. Dahn Yoga is so much more than just yoga actually, it is true mind body education, even more than that it is a type of life education that is so necessary - how to manage our thoughts, emotions, stress, relationships... and ultimately how to create our dreams into reality! Dahn Yoga has truley given me the tools i have needed to create the life i always wanted but had no idea how to approach. I recommend Dahn Yoga for everyone, no matter your age, or ability... you will find something very special!!

  • Pros: the instructors are really knowledgeable and eager to help members learn and grow
  • Cons: not enough dahn centers - when will one open on the south shore??

Experience fundamental change

by mickeyj65 at Citysearch

I really wish more people would know about this! It changed my life from being one of dependence to self-reliance and confidence. Through awakening my own inner sensitivity and strength I now approach the obstacles in my life with optimism, and it has produced real results, like finally being able to have stable relationships.

  • Pros: The staff have a knack for how to really help you
  • Cons: Is not so well known.
