big mess on the floor!

we were at the bar saturday night. There was a giant spill of something on the floor, under the table. A few napkins were strewn over it. Mind you, this is prime time saturday night. it was 11pm. we watched as each staff member walked by the mess, looked at it, and kept walking. it happened over and over! nobody wanted to sit at the table with the mess... we watched group after group become horrified at the mess. "ooh great table! .... oh, eww, nevermind..." finallly after 45-50 mins a man came by with a mop (from the hotel or maintenance staff, not bar 10) and mopped it up.

we waited and waited for the check, and ended up leaving cash on the table. bad service. great atmosphere but ... eww, mess, and bad service.. hmm

High Style, High Class, High Prices

Alot has changed in Bar10 since the last review posted in 2003. First of all, the service is impeccable (not to mention the goodlooking barstaff). Their martini's are great, as is their frequently updated wine list. The after-work crowd is fantastic, if you're looking for people with some class and cash. If you're looking to be budget-conscious then you have come to the wrong place. (It's the Westin not the Holiday Inn)

Start at Bar10 and cross the street to dance all night at Saint!

THE BEST MARTINI'S __ THIS PLACE REALLY KNOWS THERE VODKA!!! THE BEST VODKA BAR IN BOSTON HANDS DOWN. HUGE MARTINI'S, MOST BAR GIVE A SMALL MARTINI FOR A BIG PRICE HER ITS A HUGE MARTINI FOR THE SAME PRICE. LOVE THE MEZE ITEMS KEEP IT COMING.

Westin Hotel bar with understated decor and a crowd that's anything but.

The Scene
Unlike most hotel bars, Bar 10 attracts an after-work crowd of professionals more likely to hail from offices next door than from out of town. The decor is understated, with furniture of sleek black wood and beige and tangerine velvet. Slatted window shades and heavy curtains block the light from outside; soft linen lampshades keep it perennially cocktail hour.

The Draw
Bar 10 is the quickest way to feel like a visitor in your own city, with all of the intrigue that implies. If the ambience doesn't do it, potent cocktails will have you chatting up your fellow wayfarer in no time. Must-try concoctions include the creme brulee martini (Stoli Vanil, Cointreau, Frangelico, creme anglaise) and the cheekily named flirtini (Chambourd and lime juice with a raspberry sugar rim).

Nice change from the usual hotel bar...

I had drinks here for the first time with a friend last week, and was pleasantly surprised! The drinks were great (the martini list looked interesting as well), and the service was efficient yet friendly. We shared the mushroom flatbread pizza, which was very good, and I spied other tasty-looking dishes on the tables around us. Definitely check this place out if you're in the mood for drinks in a more relaxed atmosphere.

this place was terrible. the service was lousy, the drinks were overpriced and watered down. i will never return to bar 10, don't waste your time.

The prices are ridiculous and the service was less than stellar...if you don't mind $12 martini's than be my guest! The ambiance was decent, but if you are interested on a night out in Boston I don't recommend Bar 10...unless you have children!

A hidden gem!

I love Bar 10! This not your typical hotel bar - It is a great place to meet for drinks and a light dinner - the salads and the pizza are wonderful, the drinks are great, and the atmosphere is very welcoming and chic. I highly recommend revisiting the hotel bar scene, it is a bit adventurous, sexy and intoxicating... whether alone or with friends.
