Bartending Jobs!
by mark124
I just graduated from the NEBS Boston Bartending School this week and Tom (My Instructor) already set me up with 2 bartending jobs! The managers were impressed that I went to the Boston School. This course was not only fun, but taught me everything about doing the job (like situations) it was not limited to just mixing drinks!
- Pros: Total Program
- Cons: Parking
Boston's Best Bartending School
by Rexcellent
I've recently graduated from the Professional Bartending School of New England and I'm here to tell you it was well worth it.
I've been a bartender before but never had professional training. The hands-on experience Tom at the Boston school provided combined with his obviously encyclopedic knowledge of the hospitality industry made me feel like I opened my eyes for the first time.
I knew I could make drinks, but now I know how to "build" drinks - one spirit and a mixer, two spirits, tall drinks, martinis - I automatically know the pour counts, what glassware to use and what needs to be shaken.
The pace was intense, but I got out of it what I put into it - a great learning experience and I recommend it to anyone.
Oh, and did I mention the school is accredited by the Massachusetts Department of Education and their alcohol training program approved by the National Restaurant Association; credentials that can be used nationwide - important if you ever decide to move again.
I looked at other schools, but I'm convinced this is the best choice in Boston.

- Pros: Great hands-on experience
- Cons: Parking can be tough if you don't want to pay for a garage but the T is right there
Great course!

Hi,
This class was great!
They cover everything from how a bar should be run, if your an owner, bar manager, bartender, or a guest.
From the first night, you're making drinks, simulated color water (damn, no samples) from a real set up bar. Fast paced, move, how to make money, for the owner, your self, and customer satisfaction.
I haven't used the job placement program yet, but I will. I heard it works! I have 2 guys in college and trying to supplement my income. It comes with a cirtificate, letter of recommendation, and how to get your ServeSafe certificate,. You need it. I know this will work, but I will update my review when it happens.
If you wanted to do this, this is the place. Want a Dewars Manhattan, Woo Woo straight up, Dirty Guiness,
bone dry Martini, chilled to perfection, in the right glass, served with the right garnish? See you at the bar!
I took it in downtown Boston, 5 minutes from the Arlington T.
Hints: I work in downtown Boston 8-5:00. Class was 6-10:00 , then the T home. It was a long day, and week. You need time to learn and review the class materials, and drinks.
Hi, how are you/? What can I getcha.
Mike
- Pros: You will be prepared!
- Cons: Fast paced, if you work full time, you'll be stretched to take it all in. need time to review and study.
New England Bartending Schools The Real Deal!!
by mikeharvard
When I saw the school on wbz channel 4 i team I called and registered. The placement takes about a week after competion. I know this is the real deal if the news station included this school in their story! When I walked in the school it looked like a real bar. They teach everything its not just a drink mixing program like some others, its how to do the whole job from start to finish.
- Pros: 20 years in business Real Training & Job Placement
- Cons: Not Much Parking but close to green and orange line
The school got me a job in less than a week!

The school was a blast and I always felt like I was really bartending there. Real situations were taught and now I work at Logan Int making money and meeting people from all over. The instructor made the course worth the money!
- Pros: Good Investment of time and money too!
- Cons: no parking
Not a very classy place

I didn't actually take the class. I visited and was turned off by the vulgar language used by the intstructor. I just wasn't impressed.
