I bought a pair of shoes at Moxie on Charles Street in Boston. After wearing the shoes, I realized that the webbing design along the toe of the shoe was painful and blistering my toes. I contacted the store about the issue and was told that, although the owner would return a call to me, the store would not be able to do anything about shoes "just because they do not fit." Anyway, needless to say the call from the owner was never returned to me. The shoes were just so uncomfortable that I could not get away with wearing them, even for a short period of time. Unfortunately, the credit card company still expected to get paid - so I was out $85.00. I will not shop in Moxie again.
Pros: None
Cons: Forget about it - will dissapoint

Shoes are nice - many good designers. I sometimes visit the store when I am in Boston (from Chicago originally). Charles Street has many good stores for clothes and shoes.

The shoes that Moxie (located at 51 Charles St.) sells are nice but expensive - watch your wallet! Also, not too many casual shoes, mostly dressy.
Pros: None
Cons: High prices - bad shoes

Moxie is by far and away the best shoe store in Boston, and I have yet to find one as good in NYC, San Francisco, or LA. When you wear shoes from Moxie, you are not likely to find yourself standing next to anyone with the same pair. They go out of their way to get lesser known, but very stylish and high quality brands from Italy and France like Delman and Claudia Ciutti. This also means that they sell designer quality shoes at more reasonable prices than Gucci or Manolo Blahnik. I can't remember the last time I bought shoes anywhere other than Moxie, except on vacation to Italy.
Pros: Stylish, Friendly salespeople, Reasonable Prices

Moxie is the best around Boston for shoes and bags, and it is a great place to shop.

Great little boutique, with exquisite shoes (and handbags!)! The selections are great, display is appealing; love not being overwhelmed by multiple brands/models. Sales staff is very knowledgeable, helpful, and has good taste. The shoes are not cheap, but VERY comfortable and - you can take your dog, and even get a (free) doggie bone! Try it.
Pros: elegant & whimsical, great service, classics

Moxie is a must visit for any shoe-a-holic. They carry a great selection of boutique and comfort lines for everything from business to evening -- all with a style that Boston has been lacking. This gem fills a void in our city's shopping landscape -- a comfortable, welcoming boite with high quality, diverse, yet not overly expensive merchandise.
Pros: Variety, Unique Brands

Love the style and selection of shoes and accessories that Moxie has to offer (many that you cant find anywhere else in Boston). Keep up the good work -- the shoe selection in Boston has always felt very repetitive, until along came Moxie!
Pros: great service, unique selection
