The BEST selection of CUTE shoes!!!
by Dioriste
Moxie is a definite it-shop in Boston -- their selection of boutique brands and CUTE(!) shoes is top-notch and the friendly & helpful staff has gone out of their way to help me with special requests on several occasions. THE place to stock up on heels! XOXO
- Pros: Selection, fun unique brands, courteous staff
- Cons: Don't get your heels stuck in Beacon Hill's bricks!
Love The Selection
by gipsyqueen
I was strolling along Charles Street and dropped into Moxie. Nice store. They have a very friendly staff who let you look, touch and try on without bothering you. The selection is different than alot of other stores in the area. I bought a nice, comfortable pair of shoes for a reasonable price. Their customer service was excellent. Return policy, same as everywhere else. Recommended.
- Pros: Customer Service, Variety, Quality
- Cons: None
Moxie on Charles Street has very bad service
by Karenxi02
I bought a pair of shoes at Moxie on Charles Street in Boston. After wearing the shoes, I realized that the webbing design along the toe of the shoe was painful and blistering my toes. I contacted the store about the issue and was told that, although the owner would return a call to me, the store would not be able to do anything about shoes "just because they do not fit." Anyway, needless to say the call from the owner was never returned to me. The shoes were just so uncomfortable that I could not get away with wearing them, even for a short period of time. Unfortunately, the credit card company still expected to get paid - so I was out $85.00. I will not shop in Moxie again.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Forget about it - will dissapoint
Good Shoe Store in Boston
by Susan05
Shoes are nice - many good designers. I sometimes visit the store when I am in Boston (from Chicago originally). Charles Street has many good stores for clothes and shoes.

The shoes that Moxie (located at 51 Charles St.) sells are nice but expensive - watch your wallet! Also, not too many casual shoes, mostly dressy.
- Pros: None
- Cons: High prices - bad shoes
Fun and fabulous women's footwear for fashion-forward feet.

In Short
Boston shoe lovers flock to Charles Street to visit this hip little boutique, which carries a selection of hard-to-find footwear that suits a range of styles, from practical Walter Steiger loafers to strappy red Cynthia Rowley heels. The shop stocks a choice group of designers such as Nicole Miller, L'Autre Chose, Cynthia Rowley, Rafe and Isaac. Beyond footwear, the store carries stylish necklaces, bracelets and earrings, plus designer bags and totes.

One of a Kind
by pbliss
Moxie is by far and away the best shoe store in Boston, and I have yet to find one as good in NYC, San Francisco, or LA. When you wear shoes from Moxie, you are not likely to find yourself standing next to anyone with the same pair. They go out of their way to get lesser known, but very stylish and high quality brands from Italy and France like Delman and Claudia Ciutti. This also means that they sell designer quality shoes at more reasonable prices than Gucci or Manolo Blahnik. I can't remember the last time I bought shoes anywhere other than Moxie, except on vacation to Italy.
- Pros: Stylish, Friendly salespeople, Reasonable Prices
small but powerful

Great little boutique, with exquisite shoes (and handbags!)! The selections are great, display is appealing; love not being overwhelmed by multiple brands/models.
Sales staff is very knowledgeable, helpful, and has good taste. The shoes are not cheap, but VERY comfortable and - you can take your dog, and even get a (free) doggie bone! Try it.
- Pros: elegant & whimsical, great service, classics
