The Scene
A colorful mix of area students and older, grizzled types fill the Saloon to down cheap pints of beer and play bar games. A full-sized pool table sits in one corner, with several video games also available for passing time. TVs are turned to sports, and a sub-$2 beers keep everyone happy.

tough crowd? i was driving by boston symphony the other night and was more intimidated by the old men and their old maids. not impressed .

Cheap drinks, lots of seats, pool tables, great music selection on jukebox...what more can I say? Oh and very eclectic crowd, watch for the occasional bar brawl.

great saloon!

very friendly place for very cheap drinks and a game of pool or darts. average working class crowd on the rougher side but has quite a charm about it. feels like your in "moe's tavern" from the simpsons... that kind of thing. great time, everyone's approachable, not as snooty as a lot of other places. very casual and relaxed.

gotta love a bar that upon your first fifteen minutes of drinking you see a bar clearing brawl involving large groups of "friends".....this place is not for the faint of heart. Good, quick, and friendly service, cheap beer, and one of the best jukeboxes in metro boston make this place fun for dive conissuers.....Truly a Saloon in name and nature...
