Slices of Heaven
by Dioriste at Citysearch
UC is the place for a great slice -- their daily selections are creative and YUM! The crust is crispy, the specialty toppings are tasty (!) and their rustic tomato sauce is to die for.
Grab a slice and head across Beacon Street for a lunch in the Public Garden for a quick lunchtime escape!
- Pros: Excellent pizza!!!
- Cons: Staff can be a little rude, but hey, we all have bad days...
They have gotten our order WRONG three times!
by alib000 at Citysearch
We have ordered from Upper Crust a handful of times. Three times, out of say, six, they have gotten our order wrong. Tonight was one of those times! I called them and the employee who picked up said "Sorry- we mess up a lot these days." He offered to credit my account- for the third time. Needless to say, we will not be returning. It was a SIMPLE order, and it shocks me that the business doesn't care enough to listen to their customers!
- Pros: None
- Cons: They are rude and incompetent

Great pizza! This place deserves all 5 starts. I found the pizza to be superb. Fantastic! The options are many, the service is quick and friendly. The pizza tastes fresh because it is. Great.

With its limited seating area--there's a 10-seat communal table and a few wall-mounted shelves--the Beacon Hill Upper Crust location lends itself to carry-out or free delivery service. Creative diners mix and match from an endless variety of gourmet toppings (arugula, baby clams, Canadian bacon), and the menu suggests several tantalizing combinations. The flavorful "white spinach" (spinach, garlic, mozzarella and feta with no tomato sauce) and the carnivore-friendly "state house" (hamburger, pepperoni and spicy Italian sausage) varieties both prove popular. Gooey calzones and fresh Greek and Caesar salads round out the offerings.

Hold off on Tremont St. Location
by pepperoni at Citysearch
Usually go to the Charles Street location and very happy. Tremont Street location just opened- may want to give some time before visiting. Service is beyond bad. Waited over 25 minutes for a slice of plain, then looked at me as if I was the crazy one for complaining. Go to the UCP website and notice there's no way to contact them, probaly for a reason

i was in town for the weeknd with my wife, and we were craving some real, genuine pizza.. tghe concierge at our hotel recommended the upper crust, and were we glad he did! this pizza is what pizza is supposed to be - the dough was fresh, the veggies were crisp, and the sauce was good enough to eat with a spoon.. i guess there are a few other locations (we were told by some other local customers), but i can't image any have the same funky atmosphere.
Good work, guys! Open down south...
- Pros: the ingredients and final product
- Cons: can't think of any.

In my entire 50 years of eating pizza, the Upper Crust on Charles St. would rate #1! The family style open table dining is wicked fun and the staff efficient , engaging and entertaining! My demented friends and i will drive an hour to Upper Crust to have arguably the best pizza EVER!! PERIOD! Sauce, cheese, crust ratio a masterful blend....
Best Pizza in Town... My fav!
by Curlykookla at Citysearch
I remember the first time I tried The Upper Crust..... I was on a Saturday afternoon stroll down Charles Street, watching the dogs, going in and out of boutiques, and then found myself standing outside a lil' pizza shop, watching boys toss some dough.... I couldn't resist, but to try some pie that I've been hearing about all over the city....
The service was friendly.... the man at the counter was funny, and helped me pick my toppings.... I sat at the window, ate a salad to start and then ate some of the pizza ever! Now I go to The Upper Crust every weekend!!!
YUMMY!!!
- Pros: Great, friendly service.... and they make the pizza to order
Fantastic, Fantastic, and well....Fantastic

Up from the Cape and we stopped at Upper Crust and I have to say that I thought the pizza was fantastic. A little bit of a line but not a long wait at all. All the people there let me know that this must be a pretty popular place to eat and must have pretty good food. I was surprised by some of the other reviews I read, I thought that I got great service there and the staff was very friendly and would highly reccomend anyone to check it out. My Review. Fantastic, fantastic, and well....Fantastic. A five out five stars.
- Pros: Excellent pizza, friendly service
- Cons: Have to travel from the Cape to eat there.
