Usually go to the Charles Street location and very happy. Tremont Street location just opened- may want to give some time before visiting. Service is beyond bad. Waited over 25 minutes for a slice of plain, then looked at me as if I was the crazy one for complaining. Go to the UCP website and notice there's no way to contact them, probaly for a reason

i was in town for the weeknd with my wife, and we were craving some real, genuine pizza.. tghe concierge at our hotel recommended the upper crust, and were we glad he did! this pizza is what pizza is supposed to be - the dough was fresh, the veggies were crisp, and the sauce was good enough to eat with a spoon.. i guess there are a few other locations (we were told by some other local customers), but i can't image any have the same funky atmosphere. Good work, guys! Open down south...
Pros: the ingredients and final product
Cons: can't think of any.

In my entire 50 years of eating pizza, the Upper Crust on Charles St. would rate #1! The family style open table dining is wicked fun and the staff efficient , engaging and entertaining! My demented friends and i will drive an hour to Upper Crust to have arguably the best pizza EVER!! PERIOD! Sauce, cheese, crust ratio a masterful blend....

I remember the first time I tried The Upper Crust..... I was on a Saturday afternoon stroll down Charles Street, watching the dogs, going in and out of boutiques, and then found myself standing outside a lil' pizza shop, watching boys toss some dough.... I couldn't resist, but to try some pie that I've been hearing about all over the city.... The service was friendly.... the man at the counter was funny, and helped me pick my toppings.... I sat at the window, ate a salad to start and then ate some of the pizza ever! Now I go to The Upper Crust every weekend!!! YUMMY!!!
Pros: Great, friendly service.... and they make the pizza to order

Up from the Cape and we stopped at Upper Crust and I have to say that I thought the pizza was fantastic. A little bit of a line but not a long wait at all. All the people there let me know that this must be a pretty popular place to eat and must have pretty good food. I was surprised by some of the other reviews I read, I thought that I got great service there and the staff was very friendly and would highly reccomend anyone to check it out. My Review. Fantastic, fantastic, and well....Fantastic. A five out five stars.
Pros: Excellent pizza, friendly service
Cons: Have to travel from the Cape to eat there.

This place is great. My kids were fascinated with the way they roll out the pizza dough and flip it for everyone to see. It sure keeps the kids busy while their parents chowed on our pizza and calzone! The State House had so much meat on it and the chicken and broccoli calzone was to die for. We were stuffed for the whole day. The people there were very friendly and kept making sure all of the patrons were all set. The atmosphere was very warm. The employees treated people like they were in their home.

I am from suburbia, but was in the city last weekend and found my way to The Upper Crust on Charles. It was fabulous. The pizza was nice and hot while the toppings were plentiful. It was very busy, but the service was great and they do a great job of moving people in and out and make sure you get what you need. I cannot wait to visit all of their locations.

My only complaint about The Upper Crust is that I didn't get a whole pie. I tried the slice of the day today and was absolutely amazed. It was a marriage of the perfect amount of cheese, sauce, and toppings on a scrumptious crispy crust. I have always been a firm believer that thick crust pizza was the only way to go, let me tell you: today the stubborn were converted. If you're looking for a fun place to grab a quick slice or indulge in an entire pie The Upper Crust is the place to be.
Pros: Great slice, great service, fun atmosphere to eat in (love the ceiling!!!)
Cons: I don't know how'll they'll ever top thier current perfection.

All i have to say is "roni" I am a traditionalist, I don't really like more than one topping on my pizza, so if I'm not grabbing a slice of roni for lunch and/or dinner, I get a small prosciutto and fresh basil well done. This pizza reminds me of Siena, except they use a pecorino cheese in Siena. The pie at Upper Crust is actually a little less salty than the pie in Siena. And if I'm not in the mood for pizza I will just grab a chicken greek salad. Either way, I love to sit at the communal table and and chat, i've even gotten a couple of phone numbers while sitting there. A lot of young single people hang there and it's a great place to sit and read in the afternoon. Anywho, if you haven't been, you're only cheating yourself and your mouth.
Pros: great location
Cons: none really

I have eaten pizza across the world, spent many years in New York where I had many favorites but the Upper Crust in Beacon Hill has by far the best slice around. I was in the other day, late for a meeting and in a rush needing something tasty and quick. The featured slice of the day was sausage and basil, it was exactly what I was looking for, thin crust, fresh ingredients and a tasty sauce. The counter guy was quick and courteous, he had me on my way in 4 minutes with a hot slice of goodness. I have since been back almost every day and have been impressed with the unique slice combinations they offer. Big fan of Boston's best slice.
