The Place to Be Any Day of the Week
by BostonBarHop
I currently work in the financial district and graduated from Suffolk University in 2006. The Place was by far my favorite bar to go to in college and has remained that way ever since. Every night of the week there is something going on at The Place. I watched the Super Bowl there with about 150 people. Great atmosphere and great TV's. After the game the bar filled up and the dance floor was packed. I have never had a bad time at The Place and have become great friends with all the staff there including Mary, Dre, Cliff and Nikki. The staff is definitely what makes The Place a great bar to hang out at any day of the week.
- Pros: Staff, Service, Televisions, Atmosphere
- Cons: Crowded
A little late, but....

My friends and I go to the Place once in a while and always have a GREAT time. We especially love Wednesday nights, its busy but not as busy as a Friday or Saturday. The staff is alot of fun and very friendly. I love the themes and the atmosphere. We always take one of the pizzas to go...they're delicious.
- Pros: Great staff- Great Pizza
- Cons: Too much fun
Red Sox Hang Out

The best late night pizza in the city.... I see celebrities there all the time Cameron Diaz was there a couple months ago and Josh Beckett and Clay Bucholz are there alot .... Steve Levy from ESPN is also a regular... The staff is always very friendly and the theme nights very fun ...
I would recommend this place to everyone... Get there early on the weekends because it tends to get busy early....
- Pros: Great Pizza, Very friendly staff
- Cons: gets to busy
NOT THE PLACE TO GO
by mzmaya
"The Place" is the worst place i have ever been too...not only is it too crowded but there is no crowd control, i went one night after work with 2 of my coworkers, we got there around 10pm and there was already a good amount of drunk people being abnoxious without anyone bringin it to there attention, after spending a good amount of money we decided to try to make our way to the dance floor and as soon as we got on it a bouncer came and kicked us out the club! we asked to speak to a manager and he said the reason was crowd control, it was obsured that they didnt kick out 2 guys who were fightin but they kicked out 3 girls who were dancing, very unprofessional and very bad judgement call
- Pros: NONE
- Cons: too crowded and very unprofessional
Not A PLACE for the Fenway Faithful
by mandyliz27
I attended after work with a group of friends to watch the Sox/Yanks game on a Friday night.
We spent some nice money considering the service was horrible and we spent a signifigant amount of time watching the game. Around the 8th inning, the AC was blown on us and I asked the waitress who was in charge of the AC, it turns out the CO-Owner tried to freeze us out of there for the dance crowd to come in.
After asking to turn it down the AC was turned UP on us. We had to sit there with our coats on the last inning of the game. I would hope that the Fenway faithful NEVER watch a game in that PLACE if they can help it, I would hope that they would be smarter than that!
- Cons: The service and the management were unprofessional
Very Poor Service

I have been to The Place on three separate occasions, every time hoping that I would enjoy myself more than the last. Can I just say that I have never in my life been treated more like a second class citizen than I was by the bartenders? Or should I say, the FEMALE bartenders? They would ignore me and my friends, and serve men, when we tried to order drinks or shots. We were forced to wait for the male bartenders instead.
I will never go back there. I feel like I deserve better than that.
- Pros: Can't think of any
- Cons: Rude female bartenders
Great Place to Watch a Game!!!
by nightowl06
So I just moved back to Boston after being away for 2 years and I must say The Place is still 'the place' to be. I spent all day Thursday watching NCAA games with a group of my buddies. We had a great waitress who seemed to know more about the tourney than half my friends. We were treated to a free buffet of food that was excellent and drank 25oz beers for only $5.50, great deal!! This is one of the best spots to watch a game at and I wil definitely be back...
great spot

I just moved to Boston a few months ago from down south and have had a hard time finding a fun place to dance and meet good looking woman without attitudes. i went to The Place this Saturday and it was awesome. they had 3 different bachelorette parties there (which filled my fun, hot women requirement. Plus the music was really good) and there were a bunch of professional football players there which was cool. i got to meet 3-4 of the patriots as well as a couple Cleveland Browns. they were all really cool. i had a blast, met a bunch of cool chicks, danced and even got a phone number or two. i will definitely be heading back soon. i HIGHLY recommend the bar to everyone looking for a good time....
- Pros: good looking women, reasonable prices, great music
- Cons: long lines to get in, very crowded
great time

I stopped in last Thursday afterwork to meet some friends and ended up staying until almost 2am. I just moved back to Boston and I am glad that I found a spot so close to work that offers great food, great music and an unbelieveable video composed of Boston's great sports moments. It is, hands down, the best video that I have ever seen. On top of all that the staff is very friendly and not to hard on the eyes. The Place is great bar bar and I will be going back very soon
- Pros: the sports video, the people, the staff
- Cons: so hard to leave
