Nicknamed "Old Ironsides," this historic Navy ship is a Boston landmark.

In Short
Still a commissioned ship, the Constitution is operated by the Navy. Sailors in period costume lead groups through this piece of American history, telling stories of the battles of "Old Ironsides" and the conditions her crew lived in. When you're in the shipyard, keep your eyes to the sky and guide yourself toward the Constitution by its masts.

Take the tour, or at least wander through the museum to get the lowdown on the ship- if you get to Old Ironsides without a tour, you don't get to wander underneath the deck, where all of the fun is! The Navy guy who was our tourguide was pretty fun.
Make sure to say hi to whoever is posted behind the ship when you exit off of the back ramp!
- Pros: Great Tour, cool ship
- Cons: a lot of security

A magnificant fighting ship. We are fortunate to have her in Boston.
Don't waste your time

Went here with a few friends on a recent trip to Boston on the recommendation of a trolley driver. After waiting in line for what seemed to be most of the afternoon (as everyone had to remove pretty much every piece of jewellery, watches, etc. for the security check, which, I might add without exaggeration, is unquestionably more stringent than at Logan Airport), the attraction itself was mediocre at best. We were there less than 5 minutes and left. Good thing it was free.
- Pros: Free
- Cons: Boring
Amazing

A great tour! By far, the best part is the live tour by the active duty Navy Sailor. I have been there twice and each time you get the same history and facts, with a little different perspective and flavor depending on your tour guide. It really gives a human aspect to the history.
- Pros: live tour, Navy Sailors
