One of my fave Boston Restaurants are in this shopping center
by tiglesia
I go here regularly to visit Legal Sea Food, I particularly like the service at the Legal Sea Food in this location. I wouldn't call the stores or their pricing "cheap" but bargains can be found if you search
- Pros: Legal Sea Food
- Cons: Can get crowded in summer
The Backbay Shops are Great!
by garcia257
The Prudential shops are known for its high priced merchandise, but the Backbay shops downstairs (1st floor) have a great variety of inexpensive items to choose from. I bought a nice leather jacket for only $99.99 from Chealsea Thomson's leather boutique. They even have jackets that cost $69.99! The quality is good, and it costs much less than Wilson's leather jackets. Besides leather jackets there are candle stores, toy stores, etc...
The only con is that the Backbay Holiday sale closes after Christmas.
- Pros: Inexpensive, Variety
One of the city's premier shopping centers contains the requisite chain stores and a food court.

In Short
The Pru's stores include chain stores like Levi's (staff will take your measurements and custom make a pair of jeans), Ann Taylor and Saks Fifth Avenue. Kiosks in the center of the aisles sell everything from hair ornaments to Swatch watches. Hungry shoppers have more than a dozen options, such as the food court's ethnic vendors and the more upscale Legal Sea Foods and Cheesecake Factory.
Good for window shopping
by bbagel
I go there for window shopping, as these are expensive stores. I like walking around the store fronts and see all the glitz of the place, but I rarely buy from here. It costs money to park underground, so try to find street parking or take the T or the bus. Usually, I end up walking along Newbury Street after shopping at Copley, for more window shopping.
- Cons: Expensive
