Boston's biggest venue for free live music is also the only one that allows Frisbee.

Best known as the venue for the grand July 4 performance by the Boston Pops, the Hatch Shell is also the site of performances with far less pomp and pageantry: Friday Night Flicks, umpteen dance, pop, rock and jazz concerts, and other fair-weather events. Seating is on the lawn, and early-comers obviously get the best views.
