GREATPLACE
by claudineb220
Many people hate this theratre becuase they catch a movie at the specific time when the film is out of place. Thepeople/workers try their hardest and at least it shows theshow.
"Danger"
by lilfancyb
I took my family to this movie theater and half way through the movie the movie stopped. We sat there for at least 1-2 mintutes. When I finally got up to go out to ckeck on what was going on i heard what appeared to be the main fire alarm....I ran back into the theater and got my boyfriend and kids and we left. What made me so angry about this situation is that none came into the theaterto tell to get out ,nor was there any alarms in the theater its self telling that the alarm was going off. Had there been a real fire something more serious could have happend.
- Pros: Parking
- Cons: Fire hazard
Really crummy movie theater
by murph1
I really feel I must say how crummy this movie theater is. For a first-run theater, their sound system is horrible. The temperature inside is too cold. And their on-site management showed absolutely no desire to listen or to help. Very disappointing and I will never go there again.
Service Terrible, Manager Told Me I Should Go Somewhere Else
by bobrush
I found this theater appealing at first because of location, but when I went to see a movie there it was a different story. I went to see a movie here on a Thursday night and there was so much commotion that I couldn't enjoy. When i complained to manager, she said i could go somewhere else.
- Pros: location, parking
- Cons: customer service, atmosphere
Nestled in a far corner of the Fresh Pond Mall, this space-age multiplex stands alone--literally.

An Oasis Amid Chaos
As you round the mall's eastern corner, it looms ahead: the Loews Theater at Fresh Pond, rising proudly out of the sea of parking spaces like a modern-day ziggurat. As soon as paradise is found, however, it is blurred by a 16-year-old cutting you off in his tricked-out Civic.
Inside Track
Although its exterior is reminiscent of a "Buck Rodgers Goes to Babylon" scenery cutout, that is where the novel movie-going experience ends at this Alewife-area landmark. The Pond's offerings fit squarely into the suburban-moviegoer milieu, with summer blockbuster fare filling up the 10 DDS-enhanced theaters.
Who's There
Is your favorite aisle filled? Not to worry. Simply scream that 'N Sync is signing autographs outside and watch the seats become vacated. The Pond is a magnet for teens and pre-adolescents.
Almost as good as public television!
by ugh
The Atmosphere is AWESOME. It's just like being in your living room, only there are more seats (12 of them) between you and the TV. You don't have to worry about messing with the stereo settings cause the sounds sucks, but there's nothing you can do about it anyway. And even though the picture sucks too, you don't have to climb on the roof to mess with the antennae. However, you may want to bring your own refreshments from the fridge.
awful

I saw Minority Report at Loews Fresh Pond. This sound was completely grabled and kept dropping in and out. Also the image was fuzzy. Luckily there was a total of only 8 other people watching the film with me, so perhaps the word about this place has already gotten out...
- Cons: Terrible Audio, Fuzzy Projects, Tiny Dirty Seats
A collection of shoeboxes
by gw0143
I saw Spider-Man here recently and was cramped in a little shoebox of a cinema with perhaps 8 seats on one side and 3 on the other. The tiny screen was way up high to compensate for the lack of height difference between the rows. The rows were narrow with not nearly enough legroom. One could hear the noise from "Star Wars" playing in the shoebox next door. There were vertical stripes on the screen - rather irritating.
I had seen other movies here before because the theatre is conveniently located, but I will try to avoid it in the future if at all possible. They have one or two screens that are not quite as tiny, but they aren't exactly "big" either.
- Pros: ample free parking, convenient location
- Cons: tiny screens, tiny shoebox theaters, sound/picture quality
