Tips for Trader Joe's

TJs is the best. Whenever I see a deal, I tell people about it.... so it is pretty often that I mention Trader Joe's! Trader Joes is truly my favorite place to shop for most things food and wine-related. They have the best foods for cocktail parties with great prices. I always make stuffed mushrooms with Boursin for family and friends (holidays/gatherings), which elsewhere is literally DOUBLE the price. I don't know how they do it, but Trader Joe's has Boursin at 1/2 the price as every other place I've looked... and that's just the beginning of the savings. I love picking up TJs pita chips, dried fruits, nuts, etc., all perfect for cocktail parties. They also have great meals if you need something quick like pre-made pizzas and frozen fish.

To add to the savings, they have apples for less than 1/2 the price of everywhere else, and a huge savings in wine! This really makes them stand out from the rest. My favorite wines are from Trader Joe's. I like to "splurge" and get the $3.99 Pinot Grigio, which is my favorite kind... although the "two buck chuck" that is $3 is not bad either. Gotta love Trader Joes.

Awesome awesome awesome!!. Ahhh, Trader Joe's, how I love thee. This is my one-stop-shop for some weekend snacks and some inexpensive but tasty booze. Notorious for the 2buck-chuck (technically $3+tax in MA), TJ's also carries lots of other inexpensive wines that are worth trying. Love the Cline zinfendel ($8.99), the TJ's brand wine ($4.99), and the Riesling bottle with the sailboat on it ($3.99). They also have $6 sixpacks of beer and cider - we had Newton's Folly Cider, tasted like candy!! They also have cheap dried fruits (apricots, ginger, etc), and $1.99 bags of salad (so cheap! so healthy! sooo good!). The parking lot gets insaaaane on the weekends/at night, but it's also right off the 66 bus in Coolidge Corner. Love love love TJs!!

Fresh produce and gourmet frozen foods sold at affordable prices.. In Short
Founder Joseph Coulombe started this L.A.-based convenience chain 34 years ago. Today, you can get exotic, prepackaged frozen foods, fresh salsas, huge portobello mushrooms, baby artichokes and heirloom tomatoes fresher--and cheaper--than at most supermarkets. Inexpensive meat, fish, coffees and teas, dozens of cheeses, grains and pastas cram the shelves. The frozen section features tasty treats, including barbecue chicken pizzas, mushroom risotto and salmon patties. Beer, wine and liquor sections are stocked with very affordable labels.
