Editorial Review for Loon Mountain – by Citysearch Editors
The Scene
Loon has a well-deserved reputation for long lines, but people come here because there is so much to do. Featuring one of the largest snowboard parks in the east, along with races, concerts, fireworks and other festivities, it attracts a crowd that is youthful, energetic and hardly ready to go to sleep when the slopes close. The resort has a large (and fancy) hotel, a full-service health club, a swimming pool and squash facilities.
The Slopes
The mountain has a nice mix of expert, intermediate and beginner trails. Be aware that the skiers tend to be younger and more aggressive than at some other resorts.

Loon's season pass is a great value. The mountain is fun, and with the proposed expansion next year it will only get better. The town of Lincoln has much to offer families for a weekend or a week.
Pros: nice people, family friendly
Cons: crowded at times, need bigger lodges
