Tips for Bsm Physical Therapy

BSM helped me run pain free. I was training for my first half marathon this spring, but I was being held back by chronic shin splints. My running coach suggested BSM, so I made an appointment with Dr. Velsmid. He diagnosed the cause of the shin splints as tight calves and hamstrings and prescribed stretching a lot more than I was. He also suggested switching from a stability shoe to a cushioned shoe. Over the next few weeks, my shins improved and I was able to run my first half with no problems. In just one visit, Dr. Velsmid helped me get back on track. I am still running pain free and have signed up for a marathon in the fall.

The path back to happy life!. I am a mountaineer (that would include rock and ice climbing) and a triathlete. I have a chronic back injury in the last ~8 years, and I have seen several PTs. I can really say that in my case, Dr Velsmid approach is the best. He would understand the biomechanical problem, find an approach to adjust whatever is wrong, and above all – he explain the way things work. He pays attention to limitations - e.g. will try to focus on exercises that take reasonable time; would help an athlete keep on the routine and not stop doing sports. Finally and most important – it works! After being limited in my abilities for about 4 month due to major injury, he brings me back into my beloved way of living – combining the sports that keep me happy.

Best PT practice. I've experienced many PT offices and this is by far the best. You will not be disappointed.
