Excellent food, get it to go!.
I would go there everyday for the sausage sub if I lived nearby -- it was the best I ever had. The sausage tasted home made and was perfectly grilled -- combined with onions and peppers and melted provolone, it's reason to live. We also have had pizza, which was excellent. Next time I'm trying the arroncini, which looked fabulous.
To hell with the rest..
It's hard to stand out as a pizzeria. Don't get me wrong, the $5 pizza special is straight up bliss with its subtly sweet sauce and crunchy, satisfying crust. But it's the rest of Dante's menu that exceeds expectations. Case study: chx parm. Forget the bulkie. We're talking four lightly fried breasts (four!), sprinkled with hand-grated cheese flakes, resting atop ziti al dente in an aromatic basil tomato sauce. The Win is strong with this one. And the rest is just as good. The twice-cooked french fries al cesto and calamari salad are standout, but I hear they make mean subs, as well (try the Italian!).
