Decent spot to hit before/after the ICA.
Oh! Hello there, warm weather!
Well, warm weather was here a couple of Fridays ago when a friend and I were looking for a dinner place with outdoor seating before heading to the ICA. Atlantic Beer Garden was close by and, hey, what's better than a few beers before getting into intense artsy-talk?
The entire place was packed, not surprising considering the weather, but we were seated right away. Hooray for a nice breeze while you chow! Service was a smidge slow for my tastes - and I'm pretty low maintenance. Granted, it was quite busy, but I sat with a sad empty beer glass for, like, 15 minutes it seemed before I was asked if I wanted another. The food was reasonable priced, though not exceptional in quality. My friend and I were disappointed by the heavy cheese curtain covering the Spinach and Artichoke Dip. I must admit - the fries were really good (it took an effort to stop eating them after I was already full).
I'd likely go there again if I was in the area - it is convenient if heading to the ICA. Plus, I dug the beer selection, and standard chain-type fare isn't always a bad thing :-)…
