it's a great little store. As far as the pet supplies selection goes,it's a great little store. They have cute pet carriers and a huge food selection. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the store cat Mikey was so sweet! I might try their grooming services for my two cats who need a bath so badly...

Before Grain cat food. This place carries Before Grain cat food and the price is very reasonable for high quality food.

to bmk 21412. Anyone who loves pets, myself included, feels the pain of your loss. Losing a canine companion is a sadness that "non pet people" will never understand. There is never a good time to lose a pet, however, at least he was not alone and was with people who were prepared to do whatever was necessary to try and save him. It is a gift that you were able to spend 17 years with your dog when so many pass away when they are much younger. It is unfortunate that our pets, who love us unconditionally, are only with us for a brief time. I am saddened by your loss and hope that time will heal your wounded heart.

My name is Rob Nager, I'm the only Certified Master Instructor in the state of Massachusetts for the Pet Tech Pet CPR, First Aid & Care programs.

On March 27, 2011 I conducted a 4-hour Pet First Aid & CPR class for the owner and entire staff of Brookline Grooming. After successfully demonstrating solid knowledge of all information and physical mastery of the lifesaving skills learned I was happy to provide each student with a 2-year certification in Pet CPR & First Aid.

Mindy, the owner of Brookline Grooming, called me soon after the class to inform me that she and a member of her staff had revived a dog who had stopped breathing while being groomed using the techniques they had learned from me. I believe she mentioned that the dog's owners were in the shop at the time and actually witnessed their heroic acts that in fact saved their dog's life.

While I am not able to comment on what may or may not have happened there on February 14, I am confident that Mindy and her staff were knowledgeable, prepared and willing to provide any/all lifesaving techniques that were possible for your poor dog. They had already saved one dog so I have no doubt they would have tried to do it again. I hope someday you will be able to find comfort in knowing that he was not alone and had trained and qualified people around him to give him the best care possible.

Please feel free to contact me at 781-727-1888 or rob@decadentdog(dot)com if I can be of help to you in any way as you deal with this sad loss. Unfortunately I've had a tremendous amount of experience helping clients who were grieving the loss of a beloved pet, I'll be happy to point you in the direction of pet loss support groups and a pet loss hotline where you can speak to trained counselors for free.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Boston's Best!. This place is fantastic! I have 3 dogs and a few other little creatures and can always find what I need here! The grooming is amazing. The haircuts are always very well done and my dogs are always squeaky clean. They come out looking brand new! We have tried the doggie daycare aswell which is a blessing. My youngest goes for the day, plays, and comes home sleepy. The prices are reasonable and the staff is very helpful. I won't shop anywhere else! They are awesome! I highly recommend all of their services!

so disappointed. Being new to the area with 3 dogs, trust me when I say I so wanted to love this place or at least, like it. I had such a bad experience with the actual grooming. The place is nice, small and crowded but it looked clean. Everything was good until I picked up my shih tzu. His hair was cut unevenly and his face looked like it had been cut by a 4 year old with a pair of construction paper scissors. It was the worst haircut he had ever received. In addition she cut the hair on his feet so short he hasn't stopped licking his feet for 2 days. To top it all off, I sent them an e mail which remains unresponded to. Stay away!

Imformative staff. I am mainly there for the puppy class that meets downstairs, however I always end up making purchases, i.e. leashes, collars, deodorizer, food. I have found staff very informative when I ask for suggestions or advice regarding my dog. They take their time with customers and invite inquiry and dialogue.

Awesome!. The lady that helped me out was awesome. This is our first dog and she was not only informative but kind and very interactive. We have already taken our dog to get washed and have made more purchases from Brookline Dog Grooming since that 1st visit.
