Citysearch Editorial Review.
It may serve Asian food, but a greasy noodle bowl this is not: Buddachen's ultra-modern feel makes those neatly folded takeaway containers but a faint memory. The seductive, shadowed interior of Brookline’s pan-Asian haven boasts lacquered dark wooden accents offset by cushy, high-backed booths. In the center of the room sits a massive Buddha, presiding over the meal like a formidable chef overseeing patrons' enjoyment of the spicy Sichuan wings. Hand-rolled sushi brings a bit of Japanese cuisine into the mix and is more than satisfactory. Try the jumbo-sized bowls of noodle soup; the particularly tasty five-spice option packs a lot of heat but never forgets its flavor.
