Citysearch Editorial Review.
When the Lenox Hotel revamped its dining room from Azure to City Table in 2009, it emerged as a companion spot to City Bar, the hotel’s velvet-roped lounge. City Table’s suave, warm brown palette and casual-elegant vibe recreates a classic American restaurant atmosphere that’s keeping with this historic hotel. The concise, comfort food-driven menu falls in line with neighborhood-friendly dining trends and ranges from a beer-battered cod sandwich to day boat scallops with grapefruit. Many dishes incorporate local and organic produce. Tuna tartare might be everywhere these days, but City Table’s is among the tastiest. The tuna sits on top of finely diced cucumber and mango, giving a nice acidic bite to the rich fish. For dessert, indulge in a melt-in-the mouth milk chocolate bread pudding with gooey peanut butter caramel sauce.

Lenox Hotel all-day refuge for drinks and sharable plates..
Replacing Azure in the Lenox Hotel, City Table aims to be a neighborhood stopover in the Back Bay, with an warm, inviting design of woods, bamboo and slate. Creative plates include caramelized potato gnocchi with braised veal or chicken drummetts in a dark rum glaze. Cocktails flow until 2am.
