The Park Plaza Hotel's signature restaurant is cloaked in an airy palette of beige and grey warmed with caramel and copper, and its menu hosts a dozen small plates with only a handful of entrees. But those with larger appetites shouldn’t fret: The ubiquitous--and in this case substantial--burger and fries squelches any lingering hunger. Gastronomes can fortify themselves with easy-to-eat twists on traditional American dishes, including a free-range Vermont chicken paired with creamy parsnip puree or, on the sweet side, a milk-and-cookies dessert that includes an addictive creamy cardamom-flavored Nutella milkshake.
