If they could change a few things this place would be awesom. I feel that this could be a really hot nightclub if just a few things were changed. Clientele - they should advertise for a older(as in 24+ crowd). The preppy college crowd just doesn't fit here. Also, a little more glamour a little less well - kitch. Higher quality drinks, dj, etc and this place could get a higher income bracket crowd ... then I'd go back

Unprofessional and rude. We had a dinner reservation for last night for a party of 7. The reservation was made a month in advance. We even called the day of and told them we would be 20 minutes late. We also had multiple communications with various employees prior to last evening.

We showed up and were told we would not be allowed in as they are ALWAYS closed on Saturdays and NEVER make reservations. This was a surprise to us, as NEVER during any of our communication did the establishment EVER relay that information to us. The promoter at the door was a jerk and rude. The person who picked up the phone was clueless. The manager hid behind the excuse of being 'busy.'

I have been to numerous restaurants, bars, lounges, clubs, throughout the world. And I have to say that this place is the most unprofessional place I have ever been to. The staff and management is just rude. They acted like it was our fault when they had numerous opportunities to contact us and let us know, but chose not to.

I've been here before and was not impressed. But last night was my sister's birthday. This place just put a damper on the evening. Of course they didn't care because why would a business that caters to customer service care? The only customer service they cater to is their over inflated ego of self importance.

We ended up having dinner at Sel de la Terre, which is 100x better food, and went out somewhere else.

Splash.... never again. And I will tell everyone never to patronize your establishment.

Good Luck, cause you're Gonna need it. You can find it from the south pretty easy, just get off the SE Expressway at Chinatown/South Station and hope you find some parking! From the north take the exit then a left, then a right, then a left...oh wait...was it a right, the a left...or a right then a u-turn....

It is on kneeland st. but parking is sparse. Once inside the layout is best for small groups. The stairs are narrow and dangerous. The drinks are decent sized but the bartenders aren't up to par on the terminology of their job.( Southern Comfort on the rocks with a twist confused them)

Didn't get a chance to try the food but I will check this place out one or two more times before a final final is made.

Not a big fan. Okay so maybe I don't get it. Splash opened in September. It has a roofdeck wading pool and kitschy little cabana areas. If you have a roofdeck, you NEED those tall space heaters Christy's in Newport used to have. This is not Miami.

The drinks are aiight. Okay selection of beer; service was slow on the main and roofdeck bar. PROTIP: go to the bar in the room on the right after the hallway to get in to get your drinks. Super fast chicks.

There's also this DJ booth or VIP area a level above the normal roofdeck and I'm not too sure what it's there for. It's not like anybody's ever spinning. They should get DJ Miss Thang over there to spice it up on a weekend night.

I recently went to Splash for a networking event and it was super hard to maneuver with my martini through the downstairs crowd and climb up the slippery stairs without knocking into someone and spilling. At least they had free passed hors d'oeuvres.. but they were bland like spankoptia, fried rav and their vers of sliders. Need. More. Flavor.

I also have this random extra $5 pending charge on my credit card from "News" although my "Splash" $ was already taken out. Bring cash.

Meh.

Chinatown lounge goes Vegas (kinda) with a rooftop pool.. This Chinatown/Leather District lounge attempts to transport you in mind (if not in body) to South Beach, complete with a roof deck with cabanas and daybeds. This is probably the only place in Boston where you can be horizontal while martini-sipping and not get arrested for disorderly conduct. In addition to a select cocktail, wine and beer list, there’s an expansive menu with 30 tapas and a dozen burgers served in tasty brioche buns and accompanied by crisp fries. There are two rooms for billiards and two connecting lounges with decor that goes from soft gray to industrial black.
