A new favorite. The ambiance was
wonderful: cozy yet spacious; energetic but not too loud. The menu was extensive and the food extremely good. The beer list was impressive and wine list broad and varied with many interesting and unusual options. But, perhaps, what made our evening the most special was the service. Our waiter, Richard, was prompt, professional, attentive, knowledgeable and helpful with the menu, and very friendly. I was also impressed how all wait staff helped each other out, delivering food when a waiter was busy at another table. Finally, the Sommelier - Jason - was extremely knowledgeable of both the wine list and menu, and was invaluable in our choice of wine. Don't let his youthful appearance fool you. We will be back.
Very Enjoyable experience.
We had a 7 pm reservation and we were seated right away - for some reason the host chose to seat us at a table right next to the door and the very noisy bar. I asked to be seated upstairs and when we got to the upper dining room there were plenty of available tables.
The food was very good. My husband and I both had the ceasar salad (one would have been plenty for both of us). I had the flank steak (cooked perfectly) and my husband had the grilled swordfish (very good). The service was excellent. The drinks were very good. I would not hesitate to go back.
Great Lunch Experience.
On of my favorite lunch spot is at Post 390..I brought real estate clients for lunch after a showing at The Clarendon...I forgot my wallet talked to the manager Guy who covered. Me till later...excellent food, location and service!
Slow Service, OK Food.
We went here for lunch and waited for about 20 minutes for our waiter to take our order. He poured our water and then disappeared. We ended up having to flag down another waiter to get our order. It took forever to get our food, which was mediocre at best. I don't recommend this place. The drink menu looked good...too bad I came for lunch. Next time I'll probably just go for a drink. What a disappointment.
A Trendy Addition to the Copley-Area Dining Scene.
The location is great, but the food isn't. It's pricey and not that worth it. The restaurant is gorgeous. I just wasn't a fan of what I ordered. The dessert wasn't good...it was dry. The only good thing was our view from our table.
Double-decker Back Bay cornerstone feeds with casual luxury..
Anchoring "The Clarendon" residential complex, this dual-level restaurant and bar evokes the cozy grandeur of Aspen while serving modern comfort food like fried Ipswich clams, house-smoked ribs and beer and bacon mac 'n' cheese.
