Tiny gelateria makes a neighborhood stroll that much sweeter.
This tiny walk-up scoop stop, located near the Rose Kennedy Greenway, is a satellite location of the flagship Gigi Gelateria tucked along bustling Hanover Street two blocks away, Cross Street’s diminutive Gigi smartly complements its larger counterpart by absorbing the overflow of gelato-hungry crowds that teem during hectic, tourist-heavy seasons. Which means less time spent waiting in line and more dessert--freshly made gelato and sorbetto in flavors that range from creamy gianduja to refreshing limoncello--for everyone. Technically speaking, gelato is less fattening than ice cream because it isn’t made with heavy cream, but all nutritional rules fly out of the window (as it should) when temptation for a second or third helping looms.
