Citysearch Editorial Review.
Oftentimes bar food is nothing more than the obligatory drunk munchies, but the standards run higher at the Corner Tavern, where it’s as much about what you’re eating as what you’re drinking. A menu that includes a pressed Cuban sandwich and broiled flank steak drizzled with chimichurri makes a perfect complement to one of the many beers on tap. A recently remodeled interior allows for ample standing room, with plenty of high-top tables to sidle up to, all done in a dark wood that is cozy and welcoming. The elevated pub food, central Back Bay location and 2am daily license make this neighborhood joint a natural stop on your way home.
