Not what I expected.
The good:
* plenty of people all dressed up (women mostly in short sequined dresses, men in dark suits)
* easy to get drinks, champagne toast
* some places to sit, if you nab an unused table
* place to get your picture taken until 11
The less good:
* venue is too large, so even though the crowd is huge, it isn't intimate
* really horrible cocktails (the worst I've had and expensive too)
* terrible music for dancing -- they advertised Motown, 80s, 90s, and current top-40 dance & club hits, but I only recognized 3 songs over the course of 3 hours of slowish R&B
Recommended for 20-somethings who come in a crowd, get drunk beforehand, and like R&B
Not recommended for 30- and 40-somethings. There were people of that age there, but they didn't seem to be having a good time, since the music wasn't danceable.…
THE GOOD AND THE BAD. Resolution Ball was a good but not great time. The crowd was good, there was a good mix of younger and older crowd. everyone was dressed to impress, and the venue was decorated very well. Some people complained about the drinks but I only paid $7.50 for a mixed drink that was filled at least half full with vodka, seems pretty well priced for me. There were plenty of stations to get a drink and I waited no more than 2 or 3 minutes to get a drink. The band was great and played good music, alot of hip hop and even some songs from the 90's and pop songs. Some of the bad include the size of the venue; it was huge and for the amount of people that attended (which was a lot) it could of been smaller. It made the place look empty when it was at least 1,000 people there. Another thing was the ticket price. I only paid $65 for the party only option and on the way to the Resolution ball I saw plenty of other venues that were packed and were probably cheaper to attend. This venue had nothing really to seperate itself. Also took over an hour to catch a cab after.…
resolution ball reviews are fake. I highly doubt all the 5 stars for this event decided to post on the 2 same random days of the year. Honestly the only review here that looks real is the 1 star. I'll pass, must be pretty bad or the person running the show is greedy as hell to employ such poor marketing methods…
Super Fun event. I've been to this event a few times and I've always had a blast. It's the biggest event in town and there's nowhere else to get that feeling of being part of something really vibrant and fun! So many NYE events are too boring. In the past there's been a dinner option and that was fun - not having to worry about where we were going to go before the party and how we were going to be treated. The food was great and we made new friends that we partied with throughout the night. Plus it was great to stay overnight at the hotel. Their service was super and it was a wonderful feeling of getting away from it all. Highly recommended!…
Two thumbs up to the Resolution Ball!. Last year was my first year attending with my boyfriend and a group of our friends and we had a blast! I had a ton of questions and the organizers were very helpful answering all of them before i bought tickets. I could not believe how beautiful the venue was and the atmosphere was great. They had a band and a DJ which I loved because we danced the whole night and had a good time. I am going again this year and we even got a room at the Seaport Hotel for a really reasonable price. If you are looking for something fun and excited to do this New Year…
