NY designer doles flirty dresses at New England's flagship.
When Cynthia Rowley opened her fifth store (the first in New England), she celebrated with a slew of VIP events and fashionable parties. It was a fitting start given that her creations dress the city’s scenester spots on any given night. Bostonians have long shopped the wares of Rowley: namely flirtatious dresses and easy-going apparel, but her first Boston boutique eliminates the need to dive through department store racks. The interior of the Newbury Street store is a bit sparse, but works to showcase the clothing, often in bright colors or intricate prints. Additionally, the rounded storefront (an architectural Back Bay staple) echoes Rowley’s timeless vibe. The staff is eager to help you find an outfit that flatters, as opposed to one that just fits.
