Holiday's with Friends. I have been with E&A for two years now as we are in the holidays season I am grateful I joined the E&A Boston Club. Being a Boston transplant and my family living out of town I am grateful for the friends I have made at Events & Adventures and the activates we do. It helps make a what could be a lonely holiday season better. Liz the Event Director planned the December calendar very well with the holidays and what I refer to as holiday orphans like me in mind. In her usual outstanding planning way we had Ice Skating on Christmas eve so there weren't two days without activates which I appreciated. There was also a Hot Chocolate social the day after Christmas that was well attended. We also had an outstanding well planned holiday party. There is also a formal event for New Years Eve. If it wasn't for Events & Adventures Boston, Liz and all my E&A friends this would have been a boring and lonely holiday season. Happy Holiday's

Great Activities and Friendly People. I have been a member of Events & Adventures for more than two years now and it has provided me with great opportunities to enjoy the activities I like to do and meet singles in the New England area.

I initially joined the club to get out of the house as many of my friends either lived far away and/or were married.

The club has certainly allowed me not only to get out off the couch, but also to do multiple events that I never would have been able to do on my own. These include activities like waterfall rappelling, swing dance lessons, and indoor skydiving.

The members are really nice and many go out of their way to ensure everyone is having a good time. I have met hundreds and hundreds of the members and it's reassuring that there is a large group of people with similar interests and that have the same intentions to being a part of the club.

The best part of the club is the planning is already done for you! With events like pub crawls, kayaking, and mixers, all members have to do is show up. The Event Planner for Boston is exceptional and very receptive to new event ideas.

In response to some of the reviews on this site, the sales reps try to do their best to sell you the club's services. Potential members should go into a face-to-face meeting with them knowing this. I will be honest that I did think about not signing up because of financial reasons. However, I am more than 100% glad that I did not cancel as the club has given me great memories and a group of people who I always have a fantastic time with. The club did also work with me so that I could afford them financially.

I have tried dating sites like eHarmony and Match, but this club allows you to meet the actual person initially instead of their profile. The club encourages me to be more of myself also.

As I stated before, I initially joined for the activities, but I have stayed on for the people and would encourage anyone to join.

Worst Experience Ever. I signed up for this because I thought participating in fun events, in a group a environment, would be a good way to meet someone. It seemed like a better alternative to meeting someone at a bar or through a dating service, which can be awkward.

The first meeting to learn about the service is very high pressure. They don't discuss the pricing on the phone, so you have to attend an in-person meeting to get the information to decide if you want to join. They ask you questions about your salary and try to get you to sign up on the spot, which I did. I will take accountability and say I did not ask enough questions... like what their cancellation policy is, etc.

I was excited at first and signed up for a few events right away. I was EXTREMELY disappointed. They told me I would probably never run into the same people because they have so many members and events. The same exact people were at the first 4 events I went to. Not only that, but there was basically no one my age at any of them (I was 25 at the time). It was mostly 40yr old women at each event (including 1 event that involved playing Wii at a bar). They also had to cancel 1 event because not enough people signed up for it. Despite my immediate dissatisfaction, I was going to continue to try a couple more, but then one of the event leaders started calling me. He had obtained my contact information off the list from the event and called to ask me out. I felt very uncomfortable with this and decided to not attend any more events.

After making this decision, I looked into the cancellation policy, which I believe is something like 24 hours. The timeframe basically doesn't even allow you to attend 1 event to figure out if you like it or not, which seems ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! I spent close to $2,000 on this, thinking it was going to be so much fun and that I was going to meet a bunch of great people. I feel like I was taken advantage of and that my money was wasted. The staff was extremely rude to me when I asked about a refund and when I asked to discuss it with a manager, they said one would call me back. I never received a call and got no where when I tried to follow up.

Needless to say, I do not recommend that anyone sign up for this. I also wish we could get a group of people together to take action against them. Also, I looked them up on the BBB website and they have had 52 complaints in the past 36 months (as of 1/3/11).

Excellent for Dating...Highly Recommended. After I joined Boston Events and Adventures club I did not know what to expect.

I just knew that if what they claimed to do matched what this firm actually

did in actuality then I felt I might get greater than my money's worth.

I'm pleased to inform anyone who is enthusiastic about my expertise that this singles

membership completely met my expectations and more. Every month they plan and host a minimum of

25 events and typically the company, Occasions and Adventures hosts as much as 50 or 60

actions for its members. In fact, I'm not excited by every one of them

however many of those activities are completely mind blowing. Here's one example:

ice climbing.

I by no means imagined myself going mountaineering with a group of single people. I by no means

considered myself being sporty at all. I had a blast!!

Now, that is only one event...can you think about what number of different adventures and tales

I may share with you? I might hold speaking all night time I have had extra fun than

one particular person deserves in a lifetime and I owe all of it to Events and Adventures Boston!

Good Freinds. I have been with E&A for two years now. Reading some of these other reviews amazes me. Since joining I have have had the opputunity to meet a lot of great people and feel lucky to call many of them friends. I enjoy their company because we enjoy many of the activites. As they advertise it is not really a dating service but an activites club for singles. I have been on PUb Crawl, attended my first Red Sox's Game, jumped out of airplane, been hiking, been to Clam Bake on one of Boston's Harbor and canoed on the Saco River. Also since joining due to a bet with someone in E&A and the support of my E&A freinds have now been 6 months without a cigarette after many years of being a heavy smoker,

You definitly get out of your membership what you decide to put into it. One of the best decesions I have made.

Well Organized, Fun Events!. I signed up about 3 months ago and have been to many great events. If getting out of the house and meeting new people is what you are looking for, this is it in my opinion. I have participated in a few activities that I am not sure I would have even have tried had they not been made available to me through this service. I can't say enough good things about this service and the people that I have encountered that run it. I would highly recommend this, and look forward to meeting you!
