greasy mess.....
This was not the first time that we had been to the nest, but it will the last. Here is what I ordered; coffee, juice, 2 eggs over easy, bacon, raisen toast, and home fries. My husband got the same, but with pancakes. We got the coffee first, not very hot. Then came a coffee refill for me, little hotter but not much. Then my husbands pancakes came out, he had to get up and chase down the waitress to get butter. Then came out the rest of his meal... greasy mess. Then came out my food. Also very greasy, now don't get me wrong I do not expect gourmet food from a diner - but so greasy that you don't want to eat it because you can predict the stomach ache-give me a break! My eggs were undercooked, the toast and home fries burnt, and I didn't even dare try the bacon. We never were offered any more coffee, and had to chase down the check.

Need to try again. This is an old fashioned diner with many favorites you would expect. The unexpected comes in the unique presentations and specials that are some of the best values around. Most entrees are under $9 and are easily worth twice that ina white cloth restaurant. Many around town think of it as the "best kept food secret" out there. Proof to not judge a book by it's cover lies inside this stainless stell gem!
