I had read great things about Ardan and so booked for a facial. Immediately the receptionist tried to sell me a more expensive facial, which I resisted. As soon as Vicki met me, she tried to sell me the more expensive facial, which to again I said no thanks. I was looking forward to a conventional facial. I find it very distasteful to be sold lots of things when I am going for a service that is supposed to be relaxing. I did agree, however, to have my eyebrows threaded. BIG MISTAKE. Vicki was clearly inexperienced and did not know what she was doing - she took a very long time trying to fix her mistakes and I am suffering the consequences. I only realized when I got to my car (conveniently they did not have a mirror in the room!) that one eyebrow was considerably shorter and thinner than the other. Very obviously so - even my 6 year old immediately noticed! The facial was good, although they did not use steam extraction. My skin looked good afterwards. Vicki pushed products and when I came upstairs to pay, she had an assortment sitting on the counter waiting for my purchase. In Wellesley you feel very self-conscious when they set you up like this. When I asked how much they cost she said ''Oh they are not very expensive, less than $100" I decided to buy 2 products, but when I got my credit card receipt to sign I realized she meant less than $100 per item, not less than $100 for the assortment of products (one face oil alone cost $89!) . I wrote it off as a splurge as I did like the products as mentioned and I felt the facial was fine. Bottom line, if you don't mind a hard sell and can stay firm with respect to not buying product, it is a decent facial. I wouldn't trust the threading or waxing.

I’ve been using this place for a number of years and I was never disappointed. The quality is first class, the service is good and the products offered are just fabulous!
