Try anywhere else.... Excited to try a new Thai restaurant to satisfy my urges for Pad Thai, I ventured over to Wellesley, to experience Amarin Thai. Expectations high, disappointment began with the lack attentive service – from not bringing a wine list, to nearly forgetting us all together. Now, I do look younger than my age, but when I ask for the wine list, you should realize that’s going to inflate the bill and thus your tab. Prompts, and pointed stares brought no acknowledgement – instead I had to flat out ask for her to take our order.

Now on to the meal. We ordered Chicken Satay and Golden Ka-Tong. It might have been better had we stuck to the appetizers as both were right on par with what I expect and love from Thai cuisine. I am determined to try all pad thai in order to rank a restaurant, and therefore of course ordered. Easily, the WORST pad thai I have ever experienced. The “noodles” tasted and resembled that of Italian vermicelli – not what I would want or even expect in a thai dish. Flavor lacked, and I had to mix in peanut sauce to make the meal more enjoyable. Need to try Lemon Thai as that is often compared to here. Needless to say, I am not returning.

Good, but better option/value around the corner. Food was o.k. Nothing to complain about, but also nothing spectacular. You can get a much better thai culinary experience and value by going around the corner to Lemion Thai!

Popular neighborhood Thai eatery in Wellesley Center, boasting flavorful, fresh dishes.. In Short
Besides offering plentiful vegetarian choices and a true comprehension of the word spicy, this traditional Thai spot churns out dependable interpretations of beef panang and duck choo chee. If spicy isn't your thing, the kitchen will happily accommodate requests for mild versions. Nibble on fresh shrimp rolls while sitting on pillows in the sunken dining area. The kitchen services a robust take-out business and prices are reasonable.

A favorite!. As a college student who rarely only eats out for an occasion, Amarin of Thailand is the restaurant we keep coming back to. Very nice dining area. The soups and appetizers are very good--though not as spectacular as I know Thai soups can be--but some of the entrees are worth writing home about. The sweet and tangy Pacific Chicken, as-spicy-as-you-want Cashew Chicken, and deliciously earth Medallions of Pork are personal favorites; though I'm still exporing the menu. Parking is free and easy and the ample dining room means that I've never waited for a seat. Add in polite, friendly, and fast service, and this place is just a great experience every time.
