The Scene
La Casa de Pedro is truly a labor of love for owner Pedro Alarcon, a gregarious Venezuelan on hand most every night. Regardless of the time or day, diners can count on a lively atmosphere due to Alarcon's festive choices in music and color schemes. Upbeat servers juggle carafes of sangria amid the dining room's cramped quarters. In good weather, patrons dine al fresco in the patio out back.
The Food
Pedro's menu covers its geographic bases, offering specialties from Mexico, Central and South America, and Spain. Nowhere else in the area can you find a meal of arepas, seviche, empanadas and paella. Portions are healthy, and most entrees come with yucca, plantains, black beans and rice. Try the Parrillada Caraquena, a savory assortment of chicken, beef and chorizo, or the Pabellon Criollo, a traditional Venezuelan dish of slowly simmered beef with vegetables. No meal is complete without an order of egg-y, homemade flan.

A friend from work recomended Casa de Pedro, she only had great things to say about it. I decided to to take a ride to the restaurant for lunch on a wednesday. The fish specila, mojitos and service was great. Pedro himself was walking around greating the patrons. I had such a great time that on thursaday I brought five friends for dinner and we all had agreat. We were greated by Pedro and his staff was very helpful. I returned on Sunday with three friends and we had a great meal and drinks. When you go to Casa de Pedro relax, enjoy the music, food, drinks and the service. Also, the coconut flan was delicious

Everytime I go to Boston I visit La Casa de Pedro. The food is amazing, the servers are friendly, and the atmosphere is great. I reccomend that you go hungry because the portions are huge! I have been there for lunch and dinner - both equally impressive.
Pros: For first timers - the menu is very detailed
Cons: parking is sometimes difficult
