5 out of 5.
The food is always tasty and fresh. Much easier then cooking a home cooked meal after a long days work. The place consistently has the friendliest staff in town.
GO GO!!!

Avoid.
It use to be great. My kids were so excited to get a rotiseerie chicken. We were all so disappointed, the chicken which cost $9.50 was lacking the wonderful marinade that they use to use. It was dry and puny. My husband's comment was, "is this a whole chicken." The $4.95 ones as Costco are far more tasty.

Avoid take-out.
I phoned in an order for 5 sandwiches - after ging them the whole order, I asked how long it would be...45 minutes!! I asked if it would take that long if I'd just walked in the store to order it and he cut me off saying they were "very very busy" and "maybe I should go somewhere else." Too busy for 5 sandwiches at 11 AM??? There was no excuse for that kind of service, and I won't ever be going there again.

Busy Newtonites swing by a strip mall to bring home a freshly roasted chicken for dinner..
In Short
Located next to Star Market along Route 9, La Rotisserie is one of Chestnut Hill's most popular take-out spots. The narrow storefront is constantly filled with the aromas of savory meats, as a fiery spit churns out juicy whole chickens. Tender spare ribs also prove popular, and a bevy of prepared veggies are available to round out any meal.

Perfection!!.
La Rotisserie is absolutely the best! After college, I moved back to Texas and miss it terribly!!! I enjoy the ribs, pork loin, and leg of lamb more than ANY meat or barbecue places in Texas...I wish they would franchise! I CRAVE La Rotisserie and look forward to the 1-2 times a year that I get to travel to Boston to get it...as soon as i get off the plane...the first thing i want to do is make a trek out to Chestnut Hill to LA ROTISSERIE!!! It's incredible! The mashed potatoes are fabulous also...I use to eat La Rotisserie probably 4-5 times a week for 4 years!!!! It's worth a trip from Back Bay or Beacon Hill!

Great Take Out.
This place is great to stop off at for a take home dinner. They have great rotisserie chicken, but also have a rotating menu of other meats like roast pork, ribs, etc. Their mashed potatoes are some of the best I've ever had.
