Editorial Review for La Rotisserie – by Citysearch Staff

In Short
Located next to Star Market along Route 9, La Rotisserie is one of Chestnut Hill's most popular take-out spots. The narrow storefront is constantly filled with the aromas of savory meats, as a fiery spit churns out juicy whole chickens. Tender spare ribs also prove popular, and a bevy of prepared veggies are available to round out any meal.

It use to be great. My kids were so excited to get a rotiseerie chicken. We were all so disappointed, the chicken which cost $9.50 was lacking the wonderful marinade that they use to use. It was dry and puny. My husband's comment was, "is this a whole chicken." The $4.95 ones as Costco are far more tasty.

I phoned in an order for 5 sandwiches - after ging them the whole order, I asked how long it would be...45 minutes!! I asked if it would take that long if I'd just walked in the store to order it and he cut me off saying they were "very very busy" and "maybe I should go somewhere else." Too busy for 5 sandwiches at 11 AM??? There was no excuse for that kind of service, and I won't ever be going there again.

Pros: Food looks good

Cons: No chance to try it they were so rude
