Best Challah in the US! Thank You Shaws!. This is the best Challah in the US, and I have had challah all over the US, good as a snack, meal , as french toast or with meat, moits, , fresh, rich and thick, never dry. Also a good prcie, always available at Shaws, so you don't even have to drive to Brookline and look for parking.

Best Challah bread anywhere!. This bakery on the outside may look quaint and little, but don't be fooled because this establishment makes Boston's best challah. They sell it in all sorts of shapes and sizes, some with raisins and some without. I usually purchase the braided challah with no raisins and it is always so delicious! The texture is soft and the inside is cakey and sweet. I've also tried their other pastries and they too are quite delicious. You can't go wrong! In my opinion, the challah is the best thing they offer. If you can't make it all the way to Newton, I know the Shaw's on Commonwealth Ave., on the BU campus sells it as well, but nothing can beat fresh challah straight from this bakery. I'm a fan!

Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Jewish bakery supplies Newton residents with buttery rugelach, eggy loaves of challah bread and made-to-order birthday cakes.
