The best!. My husband and I both go to Georg and wouldn't think of going anywhere else!

I get highlights and color and receive so many compliments, right up till it's time to go back and get my roots done! Strangers will comment on how beautiful my color is, I guess that's why they are award winning!

I have naturally wavy/frizzy hair and all the girls that blow-dry my hair are amazing at making it stay nice and straight, even in the highly humid Boston summer months!

Do yourself a favor and book an appointment to see for yourself!

I have always got just what I wanted at this salon!. I was on a search back in 2007-2008 for a new hairstylist/colorist. I have been to so many who charge too much and do too little. Or are just too bored/apathetic to put any effort into it anymore. I've been to Newbury Street and didn't get what I paid for - except attitude. So I took a chance and went to Louis Du Gal after looking around the internet and seeing some good reviews on City Search. I got booked with Erin, and when I sat down with her, in April 2008, she was patient and listened to me. My hair had grown long and a bit shaggy. She gave me a cute cut that was a bit shorter than I had first asked for but when I looked at it, loved it and thought she had good foresight to go for it. Then she did color for me, whoa! LOVED it! She has highlights down so well! I love it even more now that she suggested some lowlights on the reddish side with my blond highlights for a more natural, less processed look. Looks very professional. The one time I thought the color was lacking, I told Erin and she went out of her way to re-do it to my satisfaction without even a hint of attitude, not even a slight eye roll, and of course she didn't charge me. I usually have a 2 year rule with hairdressers, after 2 years it's time to find a new one because they usually start to get complacent. Not so with Erin at Louis Du Gal, I will continue to go out of my way to Newton to see her. And if she leaves, I will follow her to her next salon.

Stylish Salon. Extremely pleased with the varied professional services provided by the friendly staff at Louis Du Gal! More importantly though is the personal rapport with my stylist Sam who has been keeping me trim and in style for twenty years. One of the best in my book.

Friendly, dependable, always looking out for his clients. I couldn't be more pleased.

best hairdresser. After looking for a long time consistant hairdresser, I finally found one at Louis DuGal. Crystal gave me the best color and cut I've had in ten years. I'm very satisfied!

horrible haircut. The worst haircut for which I have ever paid. Worse than the free one I received after being drafted into the military. A clipper queen named Crystal hacked me so that I now resemble a lopsided porcupine. Abysmal.

Great new hair and color!. I knew a girl I worked with whose hair always looked gorgeous. I asked her who did her hair, she said Erin and she would never go anywhere else. Well it worked for me too. Everyone keeps asking who did your color? It is streaky, which is what I love about it. It doesn't grow out with roots. Can't wait for my next appt. I just love my hair!!!

Mediocre at best. While I realize the quality of a haircut can vary even within the same salon, the hair cut I received was awful espcially now that it has grown out-I'd skip it and go elsewhere

Stylists must be blind!. I visited Louis Du Gal for the first time. I asked for a simple cut and summer highlights. Yet, they were unable to do this. They made extremely amateurish mistakes and even the highlights were very streaky. I felt like I must have been the first customer the stylist ever had...

I tried to tell the stylist during the process that my hair did not look right and she basically ignored me. I held back my tears. I had to go to another salon to correct the mistakes. This salon is a joke! Never again!

Worst Haircut Ever. When I was a kid, my parents tried the Flowbee on me. I think they thought it would be fun! Suffice to say, it was not a good hair cut.

The flowbee haircut though was amazing compared to my haircut from Louis Du Gal! I know the staff is young, but it was the worst haircut I've ever had!

The owners also creep me out. I've been to high-end salons in Boston and numerous other cities before and this is more like a low-end barber shop. Go at your own peril!

Keratin Smoothing Treatment with Kady. I had the Keratin Smoothing Treatment with Kady over 3 months ago, and I am still loving it! My hair is still much straighter than usual with NO frizz!

I have extremely curly, frizzy hair. I was very skeptical when Kady suggested I try this process, since I had tried other straightening treatments over the years, and nothing ever worked. I have been more than happy with the results! Since the treatment, my hair has been so much easier to style and I can walk around on a humid or rainy day and not worry about my hair frizzing all over. THIS TREATMENT REALLY WORKS! The process has also made my hair shinier and softer.

Kady has been cutting and styling my hair for almost four years. She is extremely professional and hard-working. Kady is a very creative stylist who makes great suggestions, but is also willing to listen to my ideas. Kady has gone out of her way to be accommodating, always finding a way to squeeze me into her schedule, if necessary.

By the way, Louis Dugal Salon is a warm and friendly place with no blaring music and absolutely no attitude. All of the stylists are highly professional and courteous. I would give Kady and all of the staff at Louis Dugal an A+.
