Arrogant Sales and even worst service!. The sales part... Go see for yourself. The service.... After waiting on a SATURDAY in a FOUR HOUR delivery window I get a call 45 minutes after the window saying they are running another 2 hours late. One lie from the delivery driver followed by a different lie from dispatch. Requested a small credit to my overpriced $350 delivery charge and was ignored. There are a lot of gym companies out there who will work hard for your money and respect your time. GYM SOURCE is not one of them.…
DON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE!. Having worked in the fitness industry for over 20 years now, and provided services to some of the most demanding clients, whenever someone needs home or commercial equipment, I refer them to Gym Source in Newton. Norm and his team have never failed to offer the best sales and service to my clients (I would have heard about it, believe me). He has helped over 75 of my clients either set up entire fitness centers in their homes, or simply help choose the right piece of cardio equipment for their individual needs. I have had dealings with other suppliers in the area, and there is absolutely no comparison; Gym Source is by far the better choice.…
THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT RUINED MY BIKE.
I had the Gym Source service department person come to my home to fix my treadmill and to make sure my exercise bike was working properly. I bought both pieces of equipment from the Newton store.
He told me the bike was fine and recommended that I do a 'routine' repair, replacing the belt, during the next few months. He offered to order the belt and have someone replace it for me sooner than that. I agreed, and a month later a different service guy showed up and replaced the belt, and he left. The next time I tried to use the bike, I found that it was broken. There was no resistance at all. The service guy took a bike that was working just fine and made it unusable.
Then, the service department had the nerve to make me wait an entire week for another service visit so that another service guy could undo the damage caused by the first service guy.
At the next visit, the next service guy told me that the previous guy had indeed made my bike unusable. He tried to fix it, assured me would work on low resistance, and said he would order a new belt. The bike barely worked the day that he left, and stopped working the next day.
The service department lied to me and told me they would fix the problem in a few days. They also said they wouldn't charge me for a new belt. Of course not; they sold me a defective one. After I waited ten days to use my bike, the service department called and said I would have to wait at least another five days before they would fix the problem. I asked them to loan me a different bike. They refused. I called the store and asked them to help me. The person in charge said he 'sent an email' to his manager but he couldn't do anything else because THEY WERE "TOO BUSY HOLDING A SALE".…
EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS...EVERY TIME!!!. I felt the need to write this review after reading a few unfair negative reviews on this site. I have been a Gym Source customer since 1997 and I wouldn't even dream about going elsewhere!!! Norm has always gone out of his way to make sure I have exactly what I need, even when my purchase has been something as small as a low-cost exercise ball! I have referred several friends who have done nothing but RAVE about the quality of the equipment and the customer service.…
