Fabulous clothing
by kkksssiii at Citysearch
i have been looking for a children's and teen clothing boutique and this is the place! Selection is the best brands one could imagine. Staff was helpful to find the right sizes and styles for my children. I loved the unique clothing and prices were reasonable too. I will be going back for many more visits!!!!!
- Pros: the children's clothes were fab!!!!
- Cons: not really a con but too much too pick from
Staff not at all friendly or helpful....
by cocazan at Citysearch
I was in the shop for at least half an hour and got only one 'slight' hello from one staff person. I decided not to purchase anything there - didn't feel motivated to. I can't understand staff not speaking or asking if you need help with anything - I found it very odd! Some clothes were overpriced, but some were typical for a boutique. I will buy in pricey boutiques if the staff is friendly!
- Pros: Some cute clothes and shoes for kids
- Cons: Staff acted as if you weren't there....strange and rude!
Proof that brand names can't save a store
by adq1974 at Citysearch
So I went holiday shopping all this time and had no clue where to go shopping for children. I checked Citysearch and one of the stores with the highest ratings was around here so I found Village Kids by checking neighboring stores in the site.
They had brand names, which was neat, but everything in there seemed horribly overpriced. The sales help didn't seem to really understand what it's like for a nonparent to buy a gift for a few kids. When I told them I didn't know what size they were but that they were average sized 3 year olds I swear the person helping me rolled their eyes. I couldn't believe it.
Brand names may be cool, but the buyer doesn't seem to have much of sense of style. More like picking things out at random, relying on a strong brand to not make things that don't go. Epic fail, as my boyfriend likes to say. Very unoriginal clothes, very expensive for what you get. The store itself is outright ugly. Everything from how they tag their clothes to their gift cards which I declined getting. They may as well write it down on a notepad.
No idea how this place could muster 4 stars in Citysearch. The only reason I don't give it 1 star is because some of the clothes are not bad. If you absolutely must have the brands they offer, you are better off looking online and buying it over the web.
- Pros: Brand names
- Cons: No parking, service seemed annoyed I was in there, presents very poorly, no website, buyer has no sense of style
