In Short – Located below ground, just a stone's throw from the Newton Centre T stop, Sapporo's pleasant, nondescript dining room serves as a go-to spot for area residents with a hankering for sushi. Besides the raw stuff, the restaurant serves standard Japanese favorites (tempura, teriyaki, noodle soups) and Korean fare like bi bim bap.

Quite Disappointing

Expensive, but poor miso soup, small portions, gyoza like overfried hamburger. Complained about one piece of sushi that should not have been used even as bait - clearly bad. At our favorite Japanese restaurant - which I will not reveal; it is crowded enough - the Owner would have given us the meal for free. Here, the Owner clearly did not agree - brought two more pieces of previously frozen whatever fish. Stay away ...

My fiance and I used to go here a lot when we lived in this neighborhood. Good food and great service.
