“This is a great place to start (and, I'm sure, a great place if you're seasoned, too - but I started there!)”
“recommend this shop to everyone who is looking for a bridal gown and likes personal service.”
“Another huge plus: this isn't a terribly expensive store (the fantastic dress was ~$1700) - a much more modest place to go than, say, a store on Newbury.”
“From the minute I walked in, Margarita told me what would look good on me and brought me out the most beautiful dresses to choose from.”
This is a great Bridal Salon. I bought my wedding dress here for next summer. Margherita and her team are extremely talented. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a bridal dress, or a bridesmaids dresses.
Made my wedding dream come true!. I had my heart set on wearing my mother's wedding dress. My mother passed away 3 years ago, and I had always planned to wear it. After one cleaning, it was still so yellow. I found Margherita by a simple google search, and she sent my dress out to be restored. She stood next to me as she made the call to ensure it would be taken care of. It came back pure ivory. I was so ecstatic! Margherita then took her time to alter the dress to fit me perfectly, remove sleeves, and find /apply lace to the dress to cover worn areas. I am SO happy with her work! Margherita was very reasonably priced especially considering her experience and my, in particular, labor-intensive dress. If you need any intricate work done, you know she will do an incredible job! I would recommend her to any bride! I sent my bridesmaids there, too. She took care of everything start to finish.
Mother of the Bride.
I had to write this review. Ten years ago my daughter got a prom gown from Margarita. It was beautiful! We returned not realizing that this was the same place. We mentioned the prom gown and she remembered. We had ideas for the wedding dress. Both Margarita and Maria were very helpful but most important was their patience. We had tried on over 75 dresses and gone to over ten salons. We went back to LaSposa and bought the perfect gown. I felt very confidant that this dress will be perfect when all the alterations are done. This women knows what she's talking about. I highly recommend that you go here and you won't be disappointed.

Worst Customer Service!. I usually do not take the time to write reviews critcizing local businesses. However, due to my horrible experience at La Sposa, I decided it was neccessary to warn other brides. As soon as my sister and I walked in, we were scolded because we did not have an appointment. Fair enough. We tried to book an appointment three different times. We were told that we needed to call a month ahead of time to make an appointment. When we finally did make an appointment, we were told to walk around and see what kind of dresses we would like. None of the ladies took an interest in discussing and informing me about the dresses they had in stock. I was disgusted at their lack of customer service and took my business elsewhere. What a nightmare!
It's like doing business with family. I found my dream gown at another shop, but didn 't like their customer service, so I called La Sposa to see if they could order it for me. They did and it made all the difference! Margherita, the owner, was wonderful to work with and always made me feel like a member of her family. She and her staff are so attentive that no matter how many customers were in the shop, I always felt like the only one. As far as the quality of the alterations, you don't get any better than La Sposa. The bustle on my gown required 14 sets of ties, which Margherita did herself. She even spent the night before I picked it up, tying and retying them to make sure all the fabric bunched and fell perfectly for my special day. If you want to work with a shop owner who cares as much about your dress as you do, La Sposa Bridal is the place for you!
Horrible Service or Wrong Number???. So we called the number listed on the website and everywhere in the internet and my mom spoke with an extremely rude woman - she kept changing the appointment and time, didn't even take our information until my mom asked if she needed our name or phone number and then when my mom asked her to confirm the address of shop the woman said "No, and don't ever call here again." and hung up. We triple checked the number we called and it is the same as listed online so either La Sposa changed their number or they are the WORST customer service people ever. Will not be shopping there.
SCAM! Stay away!.
I am in one of my good friends' wedding and had to go here for the bridesmaid dress. I went to get measured, and the owner (who is also rude and pushy as others have said) measured me herself. It took about two seconds, she quickly threw a size chart in my face and said I was between a 4 and 6. She told me to go with the bigger size because they can always bring it in. I have NEVER been a 6 in my life but she insisted the sizes run small, and I figured this is her job.
4 months later I go to pick it up. I try it on and it literally fell halfway down my stomach (it was a strapless). She started being accusatory and asked if I had lost weight (I had not) and if I had gotten measured there. I told her she measured me herself. Another worker there decided to measure me again, and the measurements she took were an entire inch off. The owner refused to do the alterations for free, but said she would give me a "deal" and do it for $70. I went to a tailor down the street from me who ended up doing everything for that same price. In addition three other maids had the SAME problem. She is stealing your money, she is rude, and does not know how to run a business DONT GO!
Great Experience.
I went to La Sposa because a friend of my mother's had had a good experience with them.
I didn't purchase my dress there. My dress was a Vera Wang and had many layers to alter.
Margherita did an AMAZING job of making my dress fit perfectly.
She was honest and helpful and she really knows her stuff.
I would recommend her highly.
Loved La Sposa Bridal and Margherita. I had a wonderful experience at La Sposa Bridal. I bought my wedding dress and all the bridesmaid dresses from them. Margherita is amazing! She can take any dress and make it fit like a dream. Her outstanding knowledge of the work that she is doing makes her a priceless addition to any wedding. If you treat her with respect, she treats you with respect. I wonder if the people who didn't have as good of an experience as I did just don't take the time and energy to understand people from different generations and different cultures. Margherita could not have been better and it was so nice dealing with a small bridal salon. It felt like home to me throughout my experience!
worst business practices. La Sposa is a terrible place to do business. After 30 days from ordering a dress but over 3 months BEFORE it even ships I was told that they would not refund ANY of the money and that there was nothing that could be done. These people need to update their policies so that this doesn't happen to customers. It is unfair and unethical. What place of business does this in this day in age? Stay away.
