I went to Dellaria for a simple men's haircut before the holidays. I came in with very long hair and specifically requested my hair not to be cut short. PLEASE TRY NOT TO LAUGH, THIS REALLY SUCKED. THE RESULT: I got my hair completely butchered and hacked off - and he did it FAST. My hair was shaved almost to the skin. He was able to accomplish this with scissors, I wouldn't let him use clippers. My right side was hacked MUCH higher than the left and wasn't blended on either. To make it worse, he didn't cut ANYTHING off the front, but in the back it was hacked all the way to the top of my head. (It was basically a Mohawk cut) YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS But at one point I asked if there was wax service because I wanted to get my eye brows to look normal (yeS guys do get this done every so often). He said 'sure' and immediately shaved my eye brows with the clippers before I could grab his hand once I realized what he was doing. MY REACTION: I Completely freaked out. I did not pay for the haircut. I was so ticked off that all this happened, I caused a scene and lost control. It was such a hack job that I seriously think it was done purposely. I felt terrible afterwards because I took it out on the receptionist. THE CONSEQUENCES: I was completely laughed at by my friends, coworkers, and family. IN CLOSING: If there is someone you do not like, maybe a coworker or family member and you want to get even, refer them to a Dellaria Salon.
Pros: You can get a free haircut after it gets butchered
Cons: Complete humiliation that lasts for weeks or months

I always go back to this salon after trying many others. it's just a good place to have your hair done. It's not pretentious, relatively affordable. I like that they don't "surprise" with extra charges like some other salons do. I found a great stylist here and he just always gives me the most gorgeous highlights that I get tons of compliments on. I like that the receptionists are super friendly and always there to help you with products and other questions. I once went to the other Dellaria on Kenmore square to get a full foil that as a result didn't even show on my hair. So I went to this location and they kindly (of course I had a receipt) fixed it for me at no charge and it turned out great.
