Editorial Review for My Thai Cafe – by Gerrish Lopez
In Short
My Thai provides area vegetarians with a conveniently located spot for a fresh, inexpensive meal. Vegetarian students pop in to take filling noodle soups to-go, while area couples linger over hot tea. Generic, Asian stir-fries and Vietnamese spring rolls prove popular, and meatless "pork," "steak" and "squid" dot the menu.

My wife and I went there the first week when they opened. We were excited to find another vegetarian (and Thai!) restaurant open near our neighborhood. To our disappointment - there is nothing Thai about it. The chef obviously is Chinese trained and knows nothing about Thai food. Yes the food is vegetarian, but one thing for certain the Chef doesn't have any vegetarian cooking experience and it is wrong to assume one can cook meat dish means they can cook vegetarian dishes. The decor is plain, and only thing probably good about it is their service. If you don't care about the quality and authenticity of the food, feel free to try. Others who wants good mean vegetarian Thai food, avoid this place. To add - I did went back a second time 2 months later to give them another chance - equally disappointed.
Pros: Good Location, Ok Service
Cons: Worst Thai / Vegetarian food I ever had in a restaurant
