Editorial Review for Anna's Taqueria – by Citysearch Staff
The Scene
With a lack of other bargain dining options in the area, this fast-food Mexican chain enjoys an amazing number of customers, most of whom are area students and young professionals in search of a quick, cheap bite. You have a good chance of landing a seat among the student crowd; service is friendly and competent, but less so when the line is out the door.
The Food
Anna's limited menu includes hefty burritos, gooey quesadillas and overstuffed tacos; all are meals in themselves. The super burritos feature a choice of grilled chicken, tender pork carnitas, moist steak or grilled vegetables with rice, beans, cheese, salsa and hot sauce inside a giant flour tortilla. Weighing in well more than a pound and costing less than $4, this is one of the city's best bargains. The house salsa, chilled and cilantro-heavy, goes great with crunchy, warm tortilla chips.

Insider Tips
The ExtrasSorry, senor: The restaurant serves no alcohol. If you really crave a Corona with your burrito, take it to go.
Know Before You GoFuel up on cash before you show up, as no credit cards are accepted. But if you forget, you'll probably have enough change in your pockets for a taco.

i think Anna's is a great place to go and have a quick bite to eat. The service is fact and friendly and the food is excellent.! Even though there are alot of locals that visit the service is great. i would recommend Ana's to anyone and have! My friends and i always enjoy a burrito from Ana's.

I have to disagree with the two reviewers below me. I've never (and this is on a weekly basis over five years) had the servers make a burrito without consulting me for my choices. You must speak loudly and be sure of your order before being called on but they are receptive to your requests. Efficiency should not be mistaken for carelessness or impatience. Anna's offers a good size meal for a great price (sidebar: cash only is a nuisance at times) and just like anywhere else in the city, you will be charged for additions to your meal. I don't know who these people are that expect freebies in a city like Boston. Try the chips and guacamole - the guac is fresh and has little chunks of tomato and is really good. I have a Boloco down the street and a Chipotle soon to open nearby, and having eaten at both of those I still drive the 10 minutes to Annas.
Pros: Quick service
Cons: Cash only
