Favorite Cheap Sushi (Very Authentic).
I've been going to sushi express for 4 years now. Its been great every single time I've been. The staff is nice, and the service is fast. Its a great place for a couple of people to go, or for a quiet date. Although, its not too fancy. Its more of a cheap and authentic Sushi cafe. I've never had cooked food from here. JUST SUSHI!!!
White tuna is the best. Oh its good. And try the mochi ice cream too.
^_^
New Ownership :(. This used to be my favorite sushi place: always cheap, always fast, always fresh fish. I believe ownership changed sometime in the last several months; it's redecorated, and I don't recognize any of the sushi chefs working there currently. The last time I went, the sushi was far less fresh than it previously had been. I even got a bit of bone in two of my pieces of salmon (which worries me - I did not think the parts of fish used for sushi were deep enough to contain bones). All around, this visist was a dissapointment. I may try one more time.
Cheap tasty sushi!.
So, this place isn't big, and it's not fancy. It's not somewhere you'd take a date. It is clean, and it's cheap, and the sushi is good.
You're not getting the prime freshest fish. Sometimes it's very fresh, and sometimes not so. But it's always fresh enough to be tasty, and the price is mad affordable (for sushi), and they have a sushi combo which allows you to pick from the selection, which is rare. They don't have a whole lot to offer as far as special rolls, but service is friendly.
There's a reason why there's always a line!
yummmlers!.
Ok, so lets start out by saying that this is NOT a fancy place. Ive gone with a date, and I've gone on my way back from the gym. But, if you love sushi, and a quiet little spot to sit and eat it in, then this is the place for you. No complicated menu, just a few simple rolls, basic sushi selection. Thats it! There is always a little line, and its really a wonderful place. I've since moved to NYC, and only wish they delivered here.
take a trip to sushi express.
eeehhh. few choices for sushi. no fancy rolls like shrimp tempura or crab or dragon or anything like that. they only have 2 types of cooked food. noodles with seaweed or beans. regular sushi was also eh. pieces were not that big, rice was definately not great. ive had better sushi for the same price for lunch elsewhere.
No frills, just darn good sushi.. Simple decor, limited menu, always jazz playing in the background. No attitude, no reservations, no hassle. Just the best sushi around at very good prices. Even when the place is at its busiest, I've never waited more than 5-to-10 minutes to get my order. They aren't kidding about the "Express" in their name. I can't say enough good things.
so so. You get what you pay for. The price is cheap but the quality is lacking. Sushi is not that fresh and the rice is like eating pebbles. The rice also has little taste. It reminds me of boxed sushi at the grocery store.
Yummy treat!. Yeah, maybe the space is a little cramped and the decor is less than luxurious, but who cares? THE SUSHI IS GOOD. Take a hint from all the locals that crowd in at all hours of the day... skip the expensive Ginza up the street and head straight toward this great sushi joint. This place has great sushi at great prices, hands down.
