In Short
Colorful sports photos, cartoons and posters provide the ambience of a jock dorm room. Tiny tables fill the cramped room, making for a tight game-watching experience. Fortunately, there are about 20 strategically-places screens that show any and every game. Most menu items are named after famous figures. The "Roger Clemens" is a grilled chicken sandwich with broccoli, honey mustard and melted cheese, while the "Wade Boggs" salad is topped with a grilled teriyaki chicken breast.

The food is really great, but most the food in Coolidge Corner is. This is better than most HOWEVER: Not a place to drink: Only one of the 22 year old bartenders can make a drink to save her life (she has glasses and is the only one who looks like she ate dinner). They forget ingredients, don't know types (not brands) of alcohol and have no sence except that they are the boss; which works for them in this monopoly on the bar scene for an area desperately in need of another bar to replace 1 of the 20 failing sushi restaurants. The other day my friend ordered a martini with a twist. Mind you, it was 60% sweet vermouth, the twist was a 1/3 of a lemon, meat and all dropped into the glass. My advice; good ice tee or order a beer or something straight or on the rocks and make sure to say ice or you may end up slurping sidewalk.

So I roll into this dump late afternoon on a Saturday with a lady friend of mine. There are loads of tables open and the "hostess"(aka girl watching football while talking to you) tells us there is a ten minute wait. After about five of those minutes go by and I'm staring at all these empty tables i ask her why we can't have one of the empties. She says they are reserved for parties of 3 or more. I said are there reservations? She says no but since we are a small restaurant they are reserved for parties of three or more. I tell her that's not going to work and that we'll be taking one of those tables. We go and sit down and the manager comes over and asks if she can help us with something. I tell her I'd like some menus because we intend on eating there. She says the tables are reserved for parties of three or more and I say well there is no one else in this place its nearly dead and well past lunchtime and no one else is even coming there. The lady I was with asked me if we could go somewhere else, the horrible (unt of a manager followed us out of the door.

This place is the most ungrateful unprofessional business I have ever witnessed. I just went there tonight with my friend, and we have been going there every other week if not every week. We in general have had great service and average bar food quality. Tonight we had one of the worse waitress and it wasn't the first time we encountered her. She was incredibly rude to us and basically threw the menu at us as well as the plates. I do not like to feel like I am bothering waiters... I am a customer and I am sorry if they are having a bad day but we all do at some point. The manager came chasing us down the street to ask us about the reason of our unhappiness and was tremendously rude. She said we were the one being rude and that maybe this is not the right place for us to come and have dinner. What kind of manager does that??? I am in business and believe me this is NOT the way you treat customers. Especially when they are the ones being disrespected in the first place. I am desperately looking for the name of the manager because obviously this manager was hired for a pretty face but certainly not for her big brain... I am quite influential locally and believe me, I will do everything in my power to make that manager go down, and if this place does not get better reviews, I hope that people will be going elsewhere. As one of the other reviewer said, this place IS NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY OR INTEREST. It is a waste of space in Coolidge Corner which is such a nice and friendly area. You are better off going to Zaftig's or going down on Brookline Village to the Village Smokehouse. Much better service there... I hope you people listen to all the bad reviews out there because they are all meant to protect you from having the bad upsetting experience I just had. Cheers to you all anywhere else but CCC!
