Great local shoe store.
I recently moved to the area around coolidge corner and was delighted to find al the great shops and restaurants within walking distance. I went to Simons with my girlfriend and we each left with a brand new pair of Pumas. My girlfriend raved about the selection of women's shoes available and I enjoyed the selection of men's dress shoes. If you live in the area and are looking for a good shoe store, definitely chek this place out, it's great, and the staff was very polite and appropriate, not overly pressuring or snooty.
I went into Simons today to try on a pair of Indigo shoes, which did not fit. So I left them in clear sight next to the chair I sat on and left the store along with my four-months-old. Minutes later I was chased down outside by the woman who "helped" me in the store, asking me how the shoes worked out... startled I told her they were too big. She then proceded with "Are you sure they aren't in your stroller?". She turned around after she appearantly believed me that I did not take them. Bugged out to be taken for a shoplifter I went back to make sure she had found them. An apology would have been nice, but instead I just got a dirty look. So if you care about service, this is the wrong address.
