Brookline's Best Hair Salon

Really liked this salon! It was just renovated. Everybody is so nice there. Most importantly, the quality of service is unbeatable. I did waxing, manicure and hair cut. Felt like a brand new woman :)
Highly recommend!

Nice salon but she burnt my hair!

Village Hair Design is nestled in Brookline Village. It is a nice, clean salon, exposed brick walls and a friendly staff. I went there for several years for cuts and highlights. My warning for those who may go for highlights or color is that the staff is a bit nonchalant about how long they leave the chemicals on your hair. When another customer or friend of the owner arrives, she will chat forever and not check on you. So often (most of my visits), I had to ask her to please check my hair. Well.... the last time, after asking three times for her to please check, I was brushed off t with "it's fine" and without a peek. My hair was burnt and breaking off for months. I've never gone back.
Just around the corner, I found a differet hair salon that has more innovative approaches to hair styling, and most importantly, someone with a timer and checking to make sure you leave with shiny, healthy locks.
